Whoever said a manual isn't any faster than an automatic is obviously not too bright. My buddy has a '68 Chevelle with a Summit Racing 350 & a T350 transmission (Automatic if you didn't know that.) My 5 speed VR6 beat it by a whole car length in the 1/4 mile. A manual is also better on a circuit too.
