Oh totally. The intersection of hardware and software is going to be a big issue. For example, I was curious about how come there hasn’t been a boutique CRT business, and the reason why is it is INSANELY expensive and environmentally shitty to produce CRTs. That means that in a short period of time, there will be ZERO

Yep, we pretty much do agree on things! And I noticed in your other comment to chemiclord, issues like drivers and stuff? The lack of archives of internet-based content? This is also super important! Hell, even physical media like CDs and hard drives have a shelf life. It’s crazy with how much we all think that

I’m totally down to have a conversation and explore the nuances of things, and I agree with a lot of what you said. I’m commenting on a couple points here.

One: you act like those old Java games aren’t worth preserving? Those games were the grandparents to over half of the profits of an entire industry in 2021. Those

Heh. I worked on this game. Never thought it was actually going to be popular and notable, and here it is getting $30 million losses!

I’m with Chemiclord, while this is a very good thing to push in theory, it’s not often as feasible as you think. Leah, imagine if I wanted access to every single article draft you’ve written, for pieces that were never published for whatever reason. Maybe you would want that to be made public. Maybe you wouldn’t.

Gimmie a remake of SSX 3 plz.

yeah, totally, but if you’re willing to make a go at being a journalist, one of the lowest paid professionals, this isn’t the worst gig on the market.

This is a better option then when I was shortlisted for a weekend writing job for Kotaku about a decade ago. $1200 a month with cash bonuses based upon the number of clicks. Seemed AWFUL.

And now look what’s happened, “Rock” is practically a classic genre stuck in the early 2000s at most recent, and Disco, a fantastic genre of music vilified in the States by white boomers and specifically targeted because it was POC and queer and female led, is now the genre influence du jour of pop music.

Good for her, good for her management.

For people who have purchased, how is this as a game? I don’t understand how it’s fun. Could you build a major massive custom build and just slap the QR codes on other items? What’s the customization stuff that players should explore?

You got me gal. I can’t believe there is a popular song about domestic child abuse that was once popular.

Are you me? Because this is exactly how I feel, soundbar included. Fuck Jeff Bezos. I want to eat his face.

I appreciate some coverage out of the same swatch of Minecraft/OW/WOW/and I dunno, a list of the same 50 or so games, as well as whatever esoteric game you guys get a boner for and hype up incessantly for years.

Don’t you have a big old boner for roms and emulation?

You have to pay in the earnable diamond currency to own the stage, and it’s only for 7 minutes, and you’re expected to earn them by watching and engaging in the game

I really loved this game, but I feel  like it’s totally a dude with most of the population. Gonna check out their Twitch page to see what’s up.

Gay man here, i’m not that knowledgeable about vaginas, but are there like...hmmmm...longer vaginas? Not to be crass, but could there be women where they have a longer labia and it could create a sort of....labial cleavage at the top?

The game was fun to play, and I have friends still deeply addicted to it. Really, the best thing it did was get me into using discord, and now I use that to shoot the shit with friends while I play Fall Guys or something.

My boyfriend is a non-gamer, and there is something about gaming that irks non-gamers. He isn’t explicit about it, but to them, it seems like gaming is so attention focused, your attention cannot be pushed towards them (nevermindn boyfriend will sit and watch TV for hours and nothing else).
