Ugh, I hate how Kotaku skips covering a ton of original games, then the writers piss and moan about lack of originality or they then go and complain and talk about piracy.

As a fat gay man, I often daydream about if a genie were to grant me a wish, one would be that all mean fat-shamers, through the nuances experienced by all fat people through financial, metabolic, and other fat-causing reasons, to become fat and have to dig themselves out of it like me and other fat people.

If you’d like, I’ve archived all of Kotaku’s content, and anyone here can read it without looking at these ads all over the place.

I was just in London and Cherbourg and Caen and Paris and Normandy recently, and this is strangely right in my wheelhouse, like a hyper-focused Animal Crossing but with a historical bent. I’m down!

I work for a game company and we regularly get asked to use our games in movies and ads and shows. Depending on the game, we’ll ask for a general licensing fee, or if the game could use a boost we let them use it for free. So it’s case by case. Also, we ask what the characters are doing with the game, their

This sounds like a practical business decision, really. They needed to court devs, and devs like to drink. I worked for a company that had an office  in Roppongi for pretty much the same reason.

Their character is such an emotional wreck, and honestly a trans narrative for Vanya totally works. I would say though, let Vanya become trans and finally become happy too. For two seasons they were just through hell and back, and if a transition is part of their story, it would make sense narratively.

Dammit, I gave you a click on stupid content. I should have given my click to an awful YouTube “gamer video essayist” who has a 24 minute long “Ratchet and Clank Weapons ranked best to worst part 1" because at least they did some work.

Who are the developers for this?

The thing that pisses me off is the dogwhistle racism. Go to ANY place where the royal family is discussed, and when there is talk about Meghan (ESPECIALLY when contrasted with Kate) the vitriol is vile. I was on fucking Quora, and there was some question posted about Meghan and it was just a whole bunch of dumpy

oh god, the stomach ache and the heartburn and the shits you are going to have

Sounds about right. What a sloppy mess, and a continued tradition of the senior staff falling up and everyone else left holding the check.

I let my NSO account expire. I’m not missing out on anything.

The NYC vs whatever pizza conversation is a tedious exhausting circle jerk of metropolitan identity. It’s inane. It reminds me of when some asshole told me NYC makes better Mission-style burritos than the Mission in SF.

I’m interested because beardo daddy werewolf is hot and I’m simple.

I have a couple thoughts on this.

I would kill to see the KPIs for this game, see who is still playing, check out how big the playerbase peaked, and what the drop off is, and the monetization metrics. This game is in such a unique spot, and I’m wonder how much it really is still played.

My mom (or someone at Church) thought I was addicted and called the Youth Pastor on me to talk to me about it. It was mortifying. Of course, in hindsight I wish I had more opportunities to do things, not just school and church.

I’ve not played a single other Yakuza game and bought this on a whim for $35 on Amazon and it’s my GOTY. It’s really that good. It’s funny, the characters are extremely likable, it addresses real world issues and the darker side of humanity with real decency and humor. I love the fact I’m playing a squad of middle

Currently playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Arakawa is kind of an asshole dad (I’m early, no spoilers please), but I also like that it’s basically a game about a bunch of middle aged dad-types having an adventure.
