This is clearly someone that doesn't understand what winter tires do. Deep snow is the least of the worries. It's ICE that winter tires are for. If there's no snow and a frozen road winters may well save your life.

It's MUCH cheaper than racing a full size car. Racing is not cheap in any form, but karts are a great way to have fun on a smaller budget.
