$6k is pretty low-end these days. A 300cc starts around $4k, and a 600cc sportbike around $11k. If I’m not mistaken, there are some great options in the <$8k range. All of these are less expensive than cage options with similar performance, but not exactly cheap. Don’t think it’s drastically different from ten years…

Ha, you’re right about the football team. That won’t be changing any time soon either, from the looks of it. You’re also correct that professionals have been unable to isolate a likely cause or causes, though there are a number of factors that may all be contributing cumulatively.
