@mike_311: Okay, but what I'm saying is why can't you just rip the movie from the DVD and then put it on your iPod or whatever mobile device you have? Or can you, and companies like Warner Brothers just want to make you think that you can't, and give you a DRM version instead?

That cat still looks like he's about to attack that puppy... I don't know. Maybe it's just me.

Definitely avoid holiday times. It is absolutely impossible to find open space during busy times. And, I would imagine (based on the Steamboat Grand space available policy (owners can stay as owners any time if certain requirements are met)) that the hotel has to be less than 90% full, or something. Not just "one

Huh. I did not know this. I think I'll utilize this when the IT center forces me to change my password again next school year...

@siwex80: True... Maybe just "VLC Pulled from the iOS App Store"

It really depends. There's no one good q-a source. Hence, I voted "Other".

I think he might be looking at the "No Surrender of Others' Freedom" portion of the GPL, along with the "Automatic Licensing of Downstream Recipients" portion.

Google and Lifehacker are my main picks, with honorable-mention (slash, I-forgot-about-this-one,-thank-you-Livehacker-for-reminding-me...-mention) to AlternativeTo.net.

Lord... I really know how much shyness sucks. Freshman year, I was too shy to accept an invitation to a dance from a girl that I sort of had a crush on at the time... it was bad...

Just to get the #corrections tag on what @3tybagig mentioned below...

Lol, "The Obvious Award"... How is that still entertaining me after five minutes? I think it's the ribbon that just says "DUH"

Here's my get-people-to-use-your-Dropbox-referral-link-tip: Tell people what Dropbox is in your post. And keep it relevant. Nobody that doesn't already use Dropbox is just going to click a link because it has the words "Dropbox referral" in front of it...

@hmlj: Trust me, I looked. It wasn't there. It does normally create that though, now that you mention that... so maybe it was a LastPass bug after all. Who knows...

@Biokinetica: Well, what I did is I used LastPass to generate a password, and I guess it didn't register the change (I guess because of the website layout or something...), so it never stored the new password... I have my useless old password all safe and stored in there still.

For what it's worth, I have a convertable tablet computer (hybrid laptop and tablet) running Windows Vista, and it works pretty well. I don't know how you reckon that it just fundamentally doesn't work. Now, I can see an iPad-style tablet not working very well on a desktop OS, but I know mine works fine.

Raise your hand if you were surprised by this.

Meh, iPhone earbuds are bad. They're not worth using just for the remote. Buy yourself a pair of non-iPhone earbuds. I guarantee that the quality will be better.

@Robert Cowie: I blame the Lifehacker effect for the slowness. But, for my purposes at least, I think Joe's Goals ( [www.joesgoals.com] ) will be better.
