The character is intriguing if only for the fact that HE MAKES NO DAMN SENSE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE STORY. I routinely skip most of the Tom Bombadil passages when I reread. Peter Jackson and crew made a good decision in keeping him out of the film.

This movie was pretty funny, but really needed a good editor to tighten up some of the longer scenes. I also found some of the supporting cast way under developed. This seems to be a problem with a lot of the Apatow-directed/produced films.

Battery life isn't much of an issue. She'll be bringing it to work with her, but will have the opportunity to plug it in. She will be doing some work during her commute as well, which is about 1:15 minutes each way.
