@nedfunnell: About that 1955 Pontiac story, it wasn't MY personal reunion I was writing about. It was about a story that was shared with me by an acquaintance I did business with and have know for almost 20 years.

I am honored Ray to have made it into this competition. When my (second) submission went live on October 3rd. Though I did the best I could in trying to get "new" visitors, the article never did reach the top 15 or so for that weekend.

James has been a capable blogger for a while. I had the pleasure of working with him for a brief period of time at a British Car Blog called Car Throttle. He's still there, and you can read his work at Car Throttle.

@worthless_cos: A reply with the hope that the lunatic Tea Party will get in....

For a car line to be profitable, you have to expand into more that one model. Everyone here took Porsche to task for introducing the Cayenne, but it brought Porsche boatloads of cash. The Panamera is also not in keeping with the Porsche philosophy, but it is creating some excitement for the brand.

@Isetta: Actually I knew it was a 61, but the old fingers slipped.... along with a couple of other errors I picked up just now.

@Larry L Tebo: Larry, why didn't you try out for this contest? Or did you?

I knew Eggwich would do a superlative piece... It made me rethink DONKS. I still don't like them, but it was a great read.

I say bullshit to the established automotive press. I have been reading all of the entries thus far (Hey its only 10:54 EST right now) and this is one of your brightest ideas to date. The posts have been engaging, thought provoking, and intelligent. They have been written with passion, unlike most of the automotive

@Crash Bandihoon: If only you could. We just tried to change DNS servers, and the site has been down for a couple of days. It was up today, but I can't access it right now.

@Crash Bandihoon: I don't think I can do that because Ray wants Fresh content. However, I tend to be on a vintage kick, and the core audience probably isn't into that, and that's the key.... bring in new eyes.

Hey Ray, 903 Words, text file, 5 Images, hash tags, sent in this evening. Hope you like it cause I doubt if the core audience will.

@Rock517: Graverobber currently writes weekly for another blog, only not as Graverobber...

@Rexter: You know, after reading your comment, I went back through the posts for the last month, and you're right. This (and other salacious and titillating posts, if you catch my drift) brings in the viewership, and helps when negotiating with potential advertisers. It's all about page-views.

TVR is dead, and they really did it to themselves. Everyone loves how wonly the cars were, but there was no compromise when it came to building them: No ABS, No Airbags, Their own switchgear, and no bumpers whatsoever.

My Mercury Villager Minivan, one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned...

@UDMan: And the Ultra Van

@UDMan: Here is the Corvair Rampside.

@UDMan: Here is the Fitch Sprint

I actually spotted 3 of my Automotive Unicorns this past weekend. You see, I went to an all Corvair Show.
