There seems to be a lot of young people around here.... and boy do I feel old... Anyway, the year is 1956, and a few of my favorites are included here (just follow along)

@send lawyers, guns, and money: Sorry to say this, but I think that most Kias and Hyundais will outlive Chevy Cobalts, Ford Focus, or Dodge Calibers. They are almost (notice I said almost) at the same level as Honda and Toyota. #kiacadenza

@send lawyers, guns, and money: Do you know why Kia and Hyundai are gaining market share? Because they are producing Boring, nicely finished, rolling appliances that carry a 10 year powertrain warranty. Enthusiasts will not embrace appliances, but the average consumer does.

Let me make your choice even more difficult. That Volvo was at the New England race. The guys on the team needed to install an already assembled roll cage, so they accomplished the task of installing said roll cage by slicing off the top of the wagon, and then after the cage was in, re-attached the sheet metal of the

He was a living legend, and I had the pleasure of meeting him once, very briefly, at his Connecticut based Volvo dealer. Congenial, charismatic, a true gentleman.

@Thomas Paladino: You know, we here in the Northeast are a complacent lot, we want everything close by. Well, suck it up dude. In the New England Race, we had teams from Quebec, Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, and Binghamton. Still too far away for you? #racing

Since when is Stafford Springs CT in Providence RI? #racing

Murilee, I think you need to do a post (at the end of the LeMons season) of all of the IOE winners, and maybe do a poll on which one is the commentariants favorites. Can you ever remember when there is so many really great choices?

So Ms. Martin, you and Leaverman attend every race EXCEPT for New England. Why do I feel so left out? #24hoursoflemonstexas

First of all, having Wes use this particular Burt Reynolds picture is somewhat disturbing. Remember, one of the truly Jalopnik memes is Wes' ass.

This has been quite a week within the Gawker Empire. There was a very dead Monday, there was at least one notable defection, some discourse within the commentariant, and now we are going through another wholesale change. What shall we call this, Jalopnik 3.0?

Come on Commentariant, you can do better than this. If you call yourself an auto enthusiast, you should already know who Leonard John Kensell Setright was. LJK wrote for CAR for 30 years, was a contributor to both Road & Track and Car and Driver magazines, and was steadfastly British to the core.
