It’s ham fisted, though. Us Brits call cigarettes fags, and yet if we tell people we’re just going to “brb nipping out for a fag”, we get banned. It needs some context to allow for the fact other cultures exist.

While that’s a harsh attack on “bloggers”, I do agree that artistic agency should be moderated by the artist. If someone else takes fault with it, then that’s entirely on them. If a lot of people take fault with it (I’m talking majority here), it’s still on them, but maybe it’s time for people (artist included) to

I don’t get it. This is, and has been for ages, taught in school, who is this aimed to? Or is the maths curriculum in America THAT different from England’s?

Sorry, I should have clarified that I was just trying to use Guinsoo as an example rather than harping on about Pendragon more. Enough people have hated on him now for it to really bear any weight any more.

Except that Guinsoo was part of the big three. Eul took shit and mashed it into Allstars and later abandoned it. Guinsoo took it in (and developed new stuff for it) and later left to go to Riot to do the exact same thing there. Icefrog was left (with another dude I forget the name of, but he left around the same time

Admittedly, I do keep forgetting that the term is old now. I suppose I’ve just kept my knee-jerk reaction to it first coming into the limelight and thinking it was stupid and unnecessary. It still is- but now, as you say, it’s accepted. More importantly, it’s known and used appropriately.

A few of the designers worked on the original DotA mod, so it’s barely stealing if you’re taking your own stuff. Even then, they went so far as to change as much as was possible and leave nods back to the original inspiration (Rylai’s Crystal Sceptre) and have taken the game in a completely different (and in my

Yes, and any game with a knife in it is a Hack and Slash.

I thought League did, as I’ve always called DotA an ARTS, as the term makes more sense and is actually indicative of a genre of sorts. Any game starring multiple players battling in an online arena, like the new CoD with it’s lack of story, Path of Exile on PvP realms or arenas, PuBg, hell even bloody Worms, is a MOBA.

AIDs Simulator links to nothing but the storefront.

Good. Letting people try to offend others, and letting me continue ignoring everyone, means that the world is unchanged anyway. But allowing me to keep the ability to choose who I ignore is ace. Granted, now they have to deal with all the people that choose to not ignore people and get angry and sit upon their moral

The Last of Us was massively boring to me. The hook was amazing. That entire scene at the start until you flash forwards to the present or whatever. After that, though, was tedium to me. Couldn’t understand the hype at all.

Your original comment sounded like you suggested they saved everything just to check for reports, then delete the ones that have none. That’s backwards when you could just only save chats that had reports in them. Either way, they don’t delete chat regardless of report status. All Chat, anyway. Typically.

“Bad Ending”

You’re almost there. Why save chat THEN check for reports when you can see if there’s been reports THEN save chat if there were any? It sounds arse-about-face the way you proposed.

It’s gradual for exactly my main point originally, how is it going to be enforced? Do we want our orwellian city state game dev overlords directing our behaviours or do we want them treating us like human beings? You might think “I’m not going to be affected by that so why should I care” and that’s the same stance

I actually took out a line from that quoted comment along the lines of “and if you respond by saying you merely said that you didn’t say the main slur thing in order to deflect would be really shite” before I posted it, funnily enough. Should have left it, but like I said, it’s irrelevant and my original question was

You’re not describing a zero-tolerance policy, to the best of my understanding. In zero-tolerance, the same consequence gets doled out whether an infraction is mild or severe. This is all the same sort of stuff, a communicated attack of sorts. So telling someone to fock off == telling someone that they are a tranny

Siege is still really friendly. At least, on the west Europe servers it is. I’ve played a fair bit on every other server and the second nicest was west coast America. East coast America was by far the worst, followed shortly by one of the Chinese servers (for some strange reason, might have just been a bad month for

So what you want is for game makes/developers to roll out permanent bans for everyone that ever sets foot out of line, thus kerbing their own revenue? In this current micro-transaction age, you want developers to turn off their own income?
