While I’m beyond stoked that The Expanse has been picked up for further seasons (don’t forget the third s in that word!), in all the excitement, I hope fans of the show don’t forget that Amazon is a cancer.

It only gets better dude. The show doesn’t really start to hit it’s stride until the last 2-3 episodes of Season 1, everything beyond that is fantastic.

Not a big fan of amazons streaming service. I feel this will also just mean that The Expanse will be removed from Netflix in EU. :( But anything to save the show is good I guess.

I am still raging hard about The Expanse. The fans of this show are amazing though, they funded a flying banner to be flown over Amazon HQ TWICE asking them to #savetheexpanse. I feel like it will probably all be for naught but I still love everyone involved in this show, from creators to fans.

The Expanse is maybe the best sci-fi show in over a decade, on any network. SyFy cancelling it makes no sense, but I’m glad it wasn’t their production and it can be shopped around.

In 10 years someone will do this for real.

I was unaware of just how bad their deal was for this; first run live for a series (and this year, live is 1m, versus ~1.4 in S1) is simply brutal revenue for something that is reported only about 30% less expensive than GoT to produce- a thread suggested it was like $5-7M an episode.

I’ve seen some east Asians, even this episode had one (two?) tied up & held hostage. I don’t mean Felix, btw.

I’m guessing the anonymity of the Ghost Nation is not cultural insensitivity, but being done purposefully - I suspect they have a face turn coming, as some type of human-protectors, and this is all set up until that point, hiding it by making them look menacing.
