For a long time we kept hearing that people wouldn’t consider an EV with a range of less than 100 miles but then Nissan whipped out the Leaf with only 83, that worked. Musk made the Supercharging stuff free to license awhile back, I think (citation needed). Any other automaker can use it, but no one wants to be the one to say, “Tesla did it first, and better than we can.”

I feel like the Leaf would have been a better comparison than the Versa. 

So the $60,000 income for a single person is about exactly me. My 5 year loan payment is $320 for a roughly $19,000 2015 car. Interest rate is 3.75%.
