Pretty much every ev except the lower range leafs now have thermally managed batteries.

I got stuck on a highway once in my Model S on the way to Vegas when some guy decided to yard sale his travel trailer all over the highway on and it took a while to get it all cleaned up.

I think we were there for 4 hours.

Biggest

I think i’ve seen two of the 6 remaining in existence.

I can see a carve out for Alaska but in the lower 48 I don’t really think it’s justified especially for part 91 flying.

New certificated aircraft should be running jet-A or mogas only (basically where Rotax is). And once you’re hitting TBO there should be hefty credits to do the requisite modifications.

Put a diesel in it and the Navy’d probably buy a few.

Even on trucks. people drove pickups with 200 hp for years. It was fine. Now anything less than 400 is the fuel economy special.

yeah if the next frontier of ICE is sub 80hp in a 2400lb car you won’t need credits to get people to buy EVs.

as charging networks build out people will also be much more comfortable with a shorter range car (150miles or less) at least as a city car and maybe as their primary if they rarely roadtrip over 300 miles

They’re out there but it’s definitely going to be the bottom of the barrel

I’m sure you can acquire one for $5000 bucks but at $4 a gallon and 10k miles per year a GMT800 Tahoe’s going to consume half its value in fuel every year.

And that’s assuming it’s in a good enough state of tune to hit its EPA average. The ranger’s not much better and also lacks the utility and space of the full size.

idk, like half the Model 3's i see come in either white or black depending on what color was free that month.

Red ones are rare as hens teeth because it’s an expensive option

From what I’ve heard the we’ve destroyed so much other bird habitat they’re actually talking about connecting it to the sea and flooding it again on purpose to make it self sustainable, even though it’s not really supposed to be there.

Wait, so what happens when his lease is up?

He can hardly turn a car back in with unsupported modifications. Can he just buy it out and call it a day? Somehow i have a feeling Tesla won’t just leave it at that since they wouldn’t even give him the battery core.

Itd have to. I doubt anyones excited to hire someone who blew the whistle on their last employer.

yeah it’s the new Taurus, which was a breakthrough when it was launched

Yeah teslas are a bit chintzy but long term better than most German cars.

not to day phaeton

I guess people are taking this as a referendum on the S2000 market in general but based on the offers im getting on my very similar car, whoever buys this is paying $0.90 for a dollar and could flip it tomorrow

I used to daily my 2003 in Cleveland. Snow tires are magic to most people, and with an LSD theres good traction

We should probably just scrap the light truck qualification or make it a lot more stringent. I don’t really see why a jeep wrangler needs special treatment when it comes to compliance.

For every contractors F150 there’s 100 (1000?) small SUVs getting 30% worse mileage doing a wagon’s job.

Trucks could be way more

yeah i’m taking the under on that now that it looks like this is very much EV second and they’re still finishing the design.

Making primarily gas mail truck is a bit puzzling in 2023, but will look really dumb in 2033 when the run finishes

Delivering mail with the score to robocop on repeat.
