Love that there will be quest incentives to actually, y’know, RUN the gnome run as opposed to the majority last year who just took the tram from Ironforge to Stormwind. Hopefully Blizzard will give the server a boost that day too so that it doesn’t crash so frequently. This really is one of my favorite in-game…
If you don’t want to watch drama, don’t watch drama. Period. Enjoy whatever it is you watch, but don’t knock “This is Us.”
Same here. Why, I have no idea, but it’s just kind of a daily ritual at this point. Do you participate in the AC every June?
The real fun is the site events that they used to run regularly. The Curse of Maraqua, Faeries Ruin... when JumpStart bought it they stopped all of them with the exception of the Altador Cup, which had its 11th year this past June. That’s the only time I ever see people come back now.
I’m still an active user on the site. Most days I just show up to do my dailies and collect the interest on my bank account and check on the stock market. But I’ve made a LOT of great friends over the years who also still play. For the most part, the only reason to go back now is for the Altador Cup, a kind of…
I can’t imagine that there are places that haven’t already been submitted and either accepted or denied portal status by Ingress agents. The guys who have been playing since closed beta have 3 1/2 years on you, those of us since open release have 2 1/2 years. We’ve found them all, and submitted them all.
Right there with you. Burned out on Ingress, won’t even touch PG because we already know all of the ways it’ll let us down. I am interested to see how many PG players keep it up once Winter shows up wherever they live. #TeamFrostbite forever.
I’m not playing PokeGo, but I DID play Ingress, and it did have a speed limit. Unfortunately, that speed limit was 35MPH.
Right. They didn’t bring all of them over... I can’t really imagine Pokemon GO being okay with most of the graveyards we play on around here. And hopefully they took out some of the more dangerous ones to access (have to cross private property used primarily for hunting, out in the middle of a traffic circle, etc.).
And the easiest portals to get accepted.
I’d even go so far as to say that ALL of the Pokestop/Gyms are pulled from Ingress, because Niantic is the company behind both.
There are a lot of churches because places of worship were the easiest kind of portals to get accepted in Ingress.
Ingress started out a LOT of fun.
Download Ingress. It’s the same game, but free.
The Pokemon GO players should just go chat up their local Ingress agents (many of whom are already playing P:GO). Ask them how many battery chargers they currently have on their person and where to buy them cheap. Same goes for a great dash-mount (or bike-mount if you’re into that) for the phone.
Niantic, the company that created Ingress, partnered up with Nintendo to make this game. The point of Ingress was to be a proof-of-concept so it could licence it’s programming out to other companies. So yes, it’s exactly Ingress, but with Pokemon.
Thank you thank you THANK you for a non-”rip the the things to shreds” review. I saw it opening night, and I loved it. Was it perfect? No. Was the story rushed, especially for those unfamiliar with the games? Yep. But it got done what it needed to to set the stage for future movies, of which I hope there are many. And…
