Some people like to hear themselves talk, and they do so in a way that panders to the lowest common denominator. That is how you become disgustingly famous on YouTube.

Been waiting to use this
I don't get the "I scream a lot while stream" guy's popularity. I mean it was funny the first couple times... But seriously?
Fingers out is correct.
Whoa, there's a mod that adds bratwurst?
It's part Lego and part exploration. In normal mode you have to find and gather all of your materials, which adds an extra element.
Looks pretentious. Is that what they're going for?
Her arguments are shallow and at times disingenuous. I promise you there's a good chance she's not thinking about you or anybody's daughter when you spins how a game plays to make a point. I have a niece who also has a GT and plays games and under no circumstance do I believe Anita is doing her any favors.
Ironic, coming from a website that hosts an article showing an apparent hate for gamers
Where are the posts about the civil points that have been made, then? When the only way Kotaku addresses this is through post after post about the tiny but vocal minority that practices hate speech, you are sidestepping the real argument, attacking a strawman instead.
"Transparent" as you now are starting to be depending on when you mean "now". I noticed you guys added some "edits" to update previous articles (some from quite a while ago) from certain editors noting of their personal involvement with the developer they are writing about. Being transparent shouldn't be a "request"…
Just keep that promise.
You say that your transparent, yet you cherry pick which stories you'll write articles about. There's a staggering amount of evidence proving that Zoe Quinn has acted inexcusably, and if this was a man who had done this, you would have posted several articles on it.
Transparency after you get caught isn't transparency. It's covering your ass. No serious publication should accept the kind of behavior that has been uncovered at Kotaku alone. Nor has the behavior since of "we've been transparent" flown.
You don't get to launch a campaign against your historical core demographic by…
Other outlets and journalists ARE your concern when they're incessantly spewing hateful, ableist language, and engaging in body shaming, if you're to be considered sincere in this call to decency in any way, by myself and other gamers who would otherwise be in total agreement with you. I hate to sound hardline on…
But Jason, people are sending gamers death threats. People are threatening to "SWAT" Them, as in have swat called in on them(notably the editor of Polygon) and to say that gamers are the only violent crazy people here is wrong.
Will you make a report/article about the #gamergate tag which has been frienldy and inclusive and had it's supporters doxxed and harassed with death threats and insults? Is a guy working at Polygon threatening swatting people not harassment, not news-worthy?
To allow a discussion without being censored. The fact that Luke's last article was prefaced by "I will be moderating the shit out of this thread" proves that you all don't want to have an actual discussion.
