That seems fundamentally flawed to me. I just don't see why the union, instead of the composer, would receive royalties. The crap about paying the union directly would probably only work in the 26 states that mandate unions, driving game publishers to move operations to at-will states.

It appears they were more focused on contrast to draw the eye rather than artistic value. In doing so they stupidly increased the size of Bayonetta and then obscured some of her hair and one of her legs by making her larger, a combined effect that makes the entire thing look crowded.

When I was in 2nd grade I used to help my father play Might & Magic (PC) by reading the massive strategy guide and pointing out secret doors, treasures, and monster weaknesses. It was my own interactive "Let's Play" experience.
Amazingly, these will be the first official Magic figures in over a decade. And they look like they'll have been worth the wait.
Thing is, Todd McFarlane actually IS sue happy, whereas WotC is just doing defense of copyright so they don't lose the right to defend it in the future. The wiki article on McFarlane's antics doesn't cover even half of the crap that he's tried to get away with.
