Forgive me if my comment implied in any way, shape, or form that the mediocrity that is Linkin Park was metal. I was merely stating that after a brief period of fail (we'll call that puberty for the time being), I decided to try broadening my tastes with various flavors of metal rather than angst-ridden rap-rock.

Reminds me of that horrible time in my life when I thought Linkin Park was good (seriously, try putting one of their discs on random and picking out the 1 unique song). Thankfully my rehab was short, and I was able to progress my way up the metal ladder, starting with nu- and ending with symphonic.
