This was a great write up. Thank you for your insight. These articles shine a light on some really important ways that games can reflect culture and create amazing characters and stories. As a black man, it's been great seeing black characters go from Balrog to where we are now. Representation matters. 

It’s sports entertainment. It’s never been anything more than that. Sometimes they just forget to hide it.

Generations 2...mania 2? Instead we will get an awful open world sonic game. I love sonic but I have 0 faith this game isn't a broken boring mess. 

I see all of these web sites reviewing ubisoft, Activision and other horrible companies games for clicks and money. The response is always, “not everybody at the company is bad”....so until we hold all of the publications and blog sites to a standard, I ain’t worrying about this award show.

The comment section opens with bad advice critiquing actual good advice. Leaving your wipers up is a life saver if you’re parked outside and ice or snow hit. 

Targeted marketing works. What’s cringe to you is appreciated effort for others. McDonalds and other companies have used slang and marketing to black customers to great effect.

These companies are already free wheeling with people’s livelihoods... that’s the point. They were laying people off in record profit years so why are we worried about giving the company money to save jobs.... jobs where people are getting harassed and assaulted to the point of suicide.... 

If you read the report you’d know there aren’t plenty of black aspiring f1 talent and the report is trying to address that. Also, if you understand f1 being a multimillionaire isn’t enough to create the systemic change needed to begin rectifying these issues. Whether he puts his into this or not the report isn’t…

It’s more than just a sealed game. It’s a 9.2 graded sealed game. If you got your N64 DD game graded it would sell for more. Regardless of whether people think grading is a scam or not, the price increase is real. How many people bought Skyrim and kept it sealed? Now how many got it graded? How many of those grades…

What’s really wild is for sports cards the only autographs that “count” and are valuable have to come from the card maker. If you go to a game, have a player sign the card and try to sell it nobody will think it's authentic. 

I just can't afford to have 0 expectations when I spend money on something.
