I logged in just to reply - and I wholeheartedly disagree with that statement. Most laptop manufacturers get their parts from the same place. Thus, certain models are just known to have issues, with every brand.

My MyTouch 4G (Android) takes amazing video too. Couldn't see any pixelation even when put up on a 24" monitor. Most of it has to do with the lighting though.

No, it does - they're called Gadgets now - but no one develops any good ones. The framework seems a tad limited.
