Denuvo only prevents you from modifying the EXE. The way Kaldaien’s mod work is by intercepting DirectX and Win32 API calls and fixing things. It acts like as a go between. These types of mods have always worked with Denuvo and a lot of other Anti-Tamper schemes. As long the mod doesn’t touch any Steam Licensing or

Kaldaien also makes his “living” off of investments. He hasn’t actually had a job for a long while from what I understand. I’m just thankful for his work on the Tales of games on PC and the other mods he has done for some other JRPGs.

Personally, I’m looking forward to Eromanga Sensei, but if you can’t tell from my Profile Pic, I’m a huge Oreimo fan. Sword Oratoria is also one I’m looking forward to. The rest I’ll have to watch an episode or 2 to tell if I’ll like them.

Well Cohhcarnage ran into an issue when leaving the game running and his PS4 running for several days straight where you couldn’t fire the bow with the slow-mo effect and a few other weird things. I’m guessing that fix would address that issue.

Agree. Region Locking sucks balls. I understand why though. Different countries have different laws, and game makers and distributors have to confirm to the law.

Yes, luckily CEG is rarely used by any developer anymore. Denuvo is a minor hindrance for some, but I’ve never had a problem with it personally.

The thing is you never have to donate or subscribe to be part of a good streamer community. I watched CohhCarnage for well over a year never donating before I subscribed to him. I never once felt left out or not part of the community. You seem to have just to have had a bad experience and assume all streamers are like

I have no problem with Denuvo. Steam CEG is not good though. Standard Steamworks is fine. though.

I watch them, but I don’t have to let them influence my opinion. There are many times where I disagree with even my favorite streamers. Just because I watch them, doesn’t mean I am required to take their word as absolute truth. I can think for myself, and am able to form opinions based on the FACTS that are presented

The current ones are ok, but we aren’t always that lucky. VMProtect is a horrible piece of crap and for whatever reason is used by a few games.

What damage? You still haven’t said. Piracy takes from sales, that much is obvious. It has also pushed publishers towards intrusive DRM schemes to combat. Both of those are bad, but you haven’t said what damage streamers have caused.

And how many scandals have there been about reviewers being paid off by companies? A lot not so long go, it has gotten better, but I’m sure it is still happening, just not as publicized. And it is a requirement of Twitch that all sponsored streams must be fully disclosed. And, I make my game decisions based on the

Why? Because I don’t believe payed off journalist and like to form my own opinion based on the facts instead of what is shoved down my throat? If that is the people Amazon wants to market to, then I’m guilty as charged. I’ll take thinking for myself over believing everything I’m told any day.

Streaming has nothing to do with that. Things change. If you don’t adapt you will fail. That is a basic fact of life. As for that crap? That is more a product of Steam, easy access to game creation tools and the Indie boom. I’d actually say Streamers have helped me with that problem. They try games that I initial had

Those “well” respected journalist are now selling themselves to the highest bidder. I think that has done more damage to the gaming industry than streamers have. I would rather watch actual, live gameplay and make my own informed decision. I don’t need to listen to what the streamer says, I actually disagree with a

Twitch is still Twitch, they are just now owned by Amazon. I’ve enjoyed a lot of the changes that have come. Twitch Prime is amazing. I’ve been an Amazon Prime subscriber almost since they started the program. Other than that, I’m not sure I could really even name any big changes that I would attribute to Amazon on

Twitch wouldn’t do that, but I won’t deny Amazon might try. I doubt they would be successful. That would just lead to other streamers sites becoming more popular. They wouldn’t be able to keep something like that quiet either. It would get out sooner rather than later, and that will cause a mass exodus of viewers and

Yes, it is a business. Which is why it isn’t a smart idea to alienate your community. The people I watch are trying to create a community, not a viewership. It is better long term if they build a loyal community that will watch them for years to come, instead of selling out and making a quick buck, just to lose it all

What damage? Do you want to go back to the days of only heavily edited trailers to judge games by? Because I don’t. Streaming is one of the best things to happen to gaming in my opinion.

The streamer that I’ve seen cancel a sponsorship on stream? CohhCarnage. He is on of the biggest streamers on Twitch. He is no sellout. Look at any of the members of New Game Plus. None of them would sellout like that, and they are some of the biggest names on Twitch. The thing is, sellouts are quickly abandoned by
