Maybe you're right, but I'm not sure. Surely the whole graphic design of 3D games on the DS was based around the small screen? Like no anti-aliasing and stuff like that? At this point I'm a bit out of my depth XD.

GameCube was slightly gimmicky? Wat?

I know people will cry gimmick, and obviously Nintendo are desperately looking around for a new market as you say, because this could be good. I think tools like the fitbit are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to analysing our daily health & fitness habits, and if they could invent some effective algorithms

Absolutely. I hate that word when it comes to games. Gimmick = innovative/novel feature the way most people use it. Either describe exactly what you mean by it, or GTFO.

Bollocks. Nintendo can't balls out compete with Microsoft or Sony, they are electronics giants with a ton of capital and business knowhow in different sectors behind them (which is why Nintendo are worse at UI design, online, etc). They made the Wii and DS precisely because of that, and they hit it out of the park,

You're right. Only TRUE fans want what you want. Shut up. I'm a 'true' fan as far as I'm concerned, and I quite enjoy playing with novel devices to create new experiences. Wii Sports was a revelation, as was Skyward Sword with the Motion Plus, and I know when I play Nintendoland on the Wii U with friends and family,

The Dead Ringer's hella fun, don't know why you're complaining.

In Europe (UK), we've had the TVii icon on the UI since launch, over a year, and yet the app still doesn't exist for us. The least they could've done is NOT put the icon there. I haven't even heard any plans to eventually release it since either, just some vague promise they made before launch.

You can hold B to reach the Wii system menu?

True dat, I've only used Miiverse on my 3DS twice. It's something extra, it's not core to the gaming experience, so if it takes too long people won't use it. I wonder why it's so slow though, it's only a forum :S.

It's pretty slow mate, considering the horsepower in there it's slower than it should be certainly. The 360 and the PS3 both load quicker AFAIK. That said, it's not a MAJOR problem, just a minor irritance.

I bitched about it, but I think it's understandable that you didn't hear me, I bitched like twice in random comment sections XP. Yeah, the Xbox 360's interface was disgustingly bad in the end, not because it looked nasty or anything, it just made the most important stuff harder to get to while also shoving more and

It's gonna be different for each game though isn't it. Some games are better with just one screen showing, as they just use the top or bottom screen as a map or menu or something unnecessary (Mario Kart as in your diagram). Some rely on the vicinity of the DS' top screen to switch views on the fly (Mario & Luigi, The

I'm sure 2D would look alright, but some of the 3D games on DS already look naff, never mind when blown up.

1. I think playing a 3D DS game on a big TV would make you want to tear your eyes out.
2. The whole idea of the DS and the whole idea of the gamepad is (semi-)portability.

Considering Atlas clearly can't tell he's there, that's not exactly a stretch as a short term plot point, not so sure on it being a permanent thing though (as in he's always been imaginary), that would be terrible writing.

I enjoyed it a lot despite the reviews, I think it just got reviewed badly because the end leaves you on a bit of a nasty, confusing cliffhanger.

I mostly agree with your assessment, but I'd like to point out that mushrooms and LSD can also surface or trigger 'dormant' mental illnesses in people, especially if it's a bad trip. They're still safer than the others though.

Nintendo combines its console and handheld lines, from here on out releasing machines that can be played portably or at home, maybe connected to a TV, maybe not, no longer splitting its formidable game development talent across two different machines and instead having all of its developers work together to make great

1. They ARE making a big-budget 3D Zelda for Wii U, they've said that a few times now.
