I think it's fairly obvious from the announcement that this OS is meant for a secondary device in the living room, not as a primary computer. If we're lucky they'll announce a streaming device that runs it rather than having enough power to play games locally. Going from the picture of the controller, my bet is on a

'Just'? That could be pretty damn good if done well and integrated into Steam like it should.

I think those are actually some fantastic guesses, and I know they've all been discussed by Gabe Newell as important ideas. The third one could be more of a focus on bringing splitscreen mode perhaps? Or perhaps in the vein of cross-network play, it could be a viewing service much like OnLive? If it was game-streaming

I thought TP was great, I played it through about 3 times I think which is saying something for me. But when something is so close or derivative to another game (and don't forget the whole Dark World thing is very ALttP as well), it's difficult to give it all the credit. OoT does have a much more iconic story as well,

Skyward Sword is possibly my favourite Zelda game, the motion plus just made it so much more immersive and intuitive for me.

I think it's not so much nostalgia, as the fact it's a comfortable framework that's worked around each time. Despite my dislike of re-hashes and anything repetitive, I've always loved the Zelda series (with the exception of perhaps Wind Waker and the DS entries), it's just full of quality design, attention to detail

Ah, I've only had mine for 2 weeks and don't personally know anyone with a 3DS, so I don't know what my range is like to compare. But to match that 400 I'll have to walk around a lot, I won't be going to any cons soon :P.

That's surprising, sure there's nothing wrong with your 3DS? I walked through my city centre today (Liverpool,UK) for a couple of hours, and I got 6 just from that.

Are they worth the money? They definitely seem pretty expensive, especially if regular StreetPass'ing isn't something you can count on.

I'm surprised about people saying they can't get StreetPasses even in cities. Funnily enough, today I took my 3DS out with wireless on for the first time since I got it 2 weeks ago, and I got 6 people! All 6 had Animal Crossing as well, and 4 had Fire Emblem. But honestly, I live in the UK in Liverpool, which is a

No, parents will see the 2DS and think it is a different console altogether. They've put themselves in a corner with such a complicated concept.

I know right D:

Bahaha, I think after his appearance on the Jonathan Ross show I'll agree with you.

It's not when a Jamaican fella with dreadlocks sticks his spliff in your eye?

I think that's a lot better yeah, the movie theater one especially, since there is no inherent cost in having people in the cinema (unless it stops a legitimate customer from going in). It's an interesting parallel to make - and I think the reason people pirate and don't sneak into cinemas is purely a social thing.

I feel like you're missing the point of my post on purpose - they've ALREADY lost their time and money - they're now expecting a return on it. If you were never going to contribute to that return (as with the 4 other apps I pirated and found out weren't as good), then you are not losing them anything.

And frankly, this

I never said anybody needs a game, it's a utilitarian perspective that if the developer isn't losing a sale, and the person is getting to play a game that he/she could not afford or would not buy for that price, then it is better than the person not getting to play it at all. From this perspective, the developer never

You haven't said what tangible thing they're losing, and it is not irrelevant at all. They have already invested their time and money in making the product, downloading their product for free after the fact may be frustrating for them but it definitely does not lose them more money - unless you were a potential

It's market oversaturation, not much you can do about it other than develop for another platform.

I would argue that with such a large discrepancy, a lot of these pirates only even considered downloading a game like this because they could do so for free. Also, as people have pointed out, it may be well people googling for a free download of 'Gentlemen' by Psy as well. I'm sure there are some lost sales, but I
