That's fair enough, although I like to be prepared for the future. Plus emulation does use a lot of CPU up, so it's useful to have it around. Besides that, I was more arguing against 6-core and 8-core AMD CPUs, if you've decided you only need a quad core and you're fine with the cheaper option then it makes sense.

You should go with Intel if you're interested in gaming, it's more important that the few cores you have work as effectively as possible rather than relying on higher numbers of cores and higher clockspeeds. Nearly everything these days is optimised for at a maximum 4 cores anyway, so having 8 cores doesn't

You should go with Intel anyway, it's more important that the few cores you have work as effectively as possible rather than relying on higher numbers of cores and higher clockspeeds. Nearly everything these days is optimised for at a maximum 4 cores anyway, so having 8 cores doesn't help terribly unless you want to

I nearly spat my coke out all over the desk, well played XD.

I think you're allowing the media's doomsaying to get to you. They have a tendency of trying to scare people, and there is SOME basis behind what they're saying, but you have to remember that they always overstate the problem. It's not nearly as bad as it may seem.

Well, I guess. What would you have cut from the film to make way for it though? It needs a good half an hour of screen time at least.

Yeah, I paid almost as much as for a regular Humble Bundle! That would be 50 cents. Not only that, you get to support the developer and be part of the experience anyway.

Sorry, it meant 'where you could change the course of the storyline and change how the environment looked', I remember reading something about making a river overflow in a preview and I never saw hide nor hair of that or anything similar.

Everything we've been saying is opinion :P.

I did immediately buy it, although I have no idea when I'm going to play it. I remember enjoying KOTOR, but the lack of widescreen support was painful.

There's no denying that what you are saying is right about those specific problems. But the game was just so repetitive, there really wasn't enough variation to justify such a long game. Not to mention unlocking the weapons takes an absolute scouring of the map to find all the diamonds. Past that, I only ever played

That's completely how I feel about it! Plus, absolutely dire story.

That was a refreshing thing to hear thanks :). Personally I don't know how to react since I was mixed with Far Cry 2. It was fun in small doses but lacked any real long-term hook I felt. Unfortunately it completely over-promised, since I remember eagerly hearing about emergent gameplay where you could change the

I don't think you usually have a near infinite amount of choices with TBS games at all. Certainly the Total War series and Civilization which I have played are usually more of a game of patience I find. In any case, my point is that it's not clear cut. I reject the idea that either 'require more thought' because it's

Thank you Stephen. I've always explained to people that it is not the killing that is the point, otherwise a Basement Murder Simulator would've been developed by now. While we could make every game full of robots, that would be difficult to create a believable story around. For now, the only thinking targets that make

To be fair, Age of Empires is pretty damn good. Or even better, Age of Mythology. I loved those games. But I agree with the others, can you make anything sound stupid with a sentence by missing out the detail. What's chess? Moving little figurines around a grid trying to knock each other over. See? Now it's for stupid

You know what, fine, even if I agreed with you that society is going 'downhill' that doesn't mean that death is going to fix a damn fucking thing. Society wasn't built from survival of the fittest, is was built from co-operation. Do I think the system can fail people? Yes. Does it mean that all of a sudden they should

With 'survival of the fittest' you wouldn't have the life you have now. So it seems that by survival of the fittest, all you mean is you want the people you don't like to die. Good luck enjoying life with an attitude like that.

No problem :).

A lot of games are able to be bought at retail but activate on Steam due to SteamWorks integration. A title can be on Steam but not be SteamWorks enabled, so in other words you'll only get a Steam copy of those games if you buy specifically on Steam.
