Why is that surprising?

I think I can get behind this list. The lack of Zelda is disappointing, but I don't think there were really any awards there that would've applied to its best features. Perhaps if there was a best control scheme award.

Honestly really pumped for this release. As you say, the focus is easily seen when you look at the game. It's a small island dense with detail and puzzles, just made to be examined and observed. A prime example of less being more.

Darn it, I consider myself an aspiring music hipster, and I'd never heard of this. You win this time Jonathan Blow *shakes fist angrily*.

Wow, the sheer volume of stuff on this game is making me feel bad for waiting until the price goes down. Then again, I'm hearing so much negative stuff about the ending and the choices I can steel myself and enjoy it despite those.

Tell my girlfriend this. Arguments occur when we're trying to discuss something calmly and she gets angry, I try and resist getting angry but eventually get wound up into getting angry too. Happened tonight, which is probably the only reason I'm posting this on an article. Yeesh, bad place to vent really isn't it?

MENTALLY annoying.

Ah, it's because I really enjoy the motion controls (although they're not without their frustrations), the cinematics and the time crystal puzzles are really quite fun. Plus I just like the fact it's a bit more of a change to the usual than before, even if not radically so.

Oh okay, that doesn't look like what I would put at all haha, almost entirely different. Maybe we're not twins XD. Very controversial putting Twilight Princess top and Skyward Sword bottom though :P. If you actually want to know, here's mine in order (Also, Minish Cap on GBA is worth playing, DS ones not so much,

Ah, I don't really mind hand-holding that much, I'm not big on challenge. I like the fact there are only a handful of stages that should really stump you, rather than a whole load. But yeah, I don't think strong opinions make you a dick, although I have to admit the way he went about expressing himself was dickish. He

News and opinion articles are a different kettle of fish though - news is "unbiased" and reported based on what the publication as a whole wants, opinion articles are written and driven by individuals within the publication. If the publication is small and localised then there will be a convergence between the two,

Completely honestly, I think the fact it aspires to be 'better than Infinity Blade' sort of indicates how awful the attempts at "hardcore" games on mobile are. Indie games have coped fine, as have minigames, but seriously, Infinity Blade looked awesome but was totally uninspired and boring in the gameplay department.

Yes, but the internet is a fantastic tool for sorting through these titles, there shouldn't be any kind of worry of oversaturation with the quality filtering methods online. Besides, indie games are like a separate market, they don't really impinge on big budget titles at all.

It feels like this is kind of out of context still, or maybe is missing that physical expression needed to add meaning.

I AGREE. But let's remember that gamers love boycotting things if they slightly dislike them, it's pretty difficult to change that. Besides, when people say 'hipsters' they're usually just referring to people with this sort of 'arty' look to them. It's just a look :S, as far as my experience goes, it's not a great

Really? Indie games are great for cheap fun and fresh ideas. Plus some of my favourite games are indie titles - Machinarium, Braid and World of Good are fan-bloody-tastic. Does it look like the rest of the industry is dying? Hardly. But you're right, when the barrier of entry gets lower, you will end up with some

Is true. Gamers take no shit XD.

:O I love Super Mario Galaxy, it's my favourite Mario game by far. I don't think having a strong opinion is childish :/. If anything it gives you passion and confidence in what you're doing.

Good article, very balanced indeed :D. But yeah, he should be allowed to say what he wants. Jonathan Blow gets bad rap for saying what he does. But remember these guys get their passion for the games they make from this real vision of what they want to make, and what kind of gameplay they want to avoid.

Are you my...long lost twin!? o_O
