Well, I found a children's book that was a choose your page RPG, I didn't actually read it all though. And also one that basically told the whole story of Oblivion. I'll pop a tip here too: open as many differently titled books as you can, every so often one will give you a quest or will level up one of your skills.

I confirm that there is no problem with Skyrim's launch, it's 5 minutes off finishing installation :P. Here I come!

Aye, I get that as well, nothing more important to me than knowing how my gf's day went and saying goodnight and good morning to her. It doesn't feel right in the slightest if I don't. I'd say my experience is similar to the article, although I still agree with laureltreedaphne in that listening to relationship advice

I like the language they use here:

Exact same experience here, absolute definition of shooting yourself in the foot :P.

Wow, that looks fantastic. I'm crossing my fingers that Skyward Sword will work on the Dolphin emulator on day one so I can see its visuals in Hi-Res. I've been playing Twilight Princess and Wind Waker and my monitor's native resolution of 1680x1050 with added anti-aliasing, and boy some textures look like a pile a

Ah, but this means unless a place is actually recreated in-game something can't be impressionist? Since it's a commentary on how the artist defined and felt about what he was painting, rather than simply his painting style, if simple objects like trees were made to look different to the usual in order to create a

Yes, I do sort of understand. But on the other hand I feel like often these people are taking it too seriously and aren't actually having fun as I would see it. Besides, how often does working tactically on public console servers actually work?

Seems like there's a polarised response here. If you ask me killing your own teammates is the most fun you can have in a multiplayer shooter, it's a long time since I've played a game where it's possible though. I remember doing it when I was bored on the original Halo for PC aha.

Yeah, my friend brought it round and I figured I'd have a go. Waste of time, the multiplayer is almost entirely the same as MW2. As far as I'm concerned, there was a jump in content available between MW1 and MW2, you got extra Spec-Ops and multiplayer was powered up. Unfortunately the quality of the single-player went

I take not being interested as not playing the game then, or are you still going to try and play it. I do find myself most excited by story-driven games myself, and wish most game were filled with as much plot and humour as Portal. If Zelda combined its gameplay with that it truly would be an amazing game, that's for

Sarcasm?

Agree with everything, except despite what you said I still think the whipping was more severe than necessary to deliver the message. But every case is different, and given how my brother acted as a teenager I can see computer addiction coming through, which makes kids really difficult to deal with emotionally. I can

I agree, the age old argument of graphics doesn't hold water when you consider the console's power also affects map size, amount of enemies on screen, view distance, etc. All of which most certainly can affect gameplay a lot if you're going for this type of 'epic adventure' game.

I think people are looking for you to try and define what excites your interest usually? Epic visuals, brilliant storylines, emotions, massive maps, etc? I'm interested to hear, because while I am not AS excited about it as I used to be because of the similarities, hearing it's 100 hours or vaguely near and

Of course, of course. It sounded like you thought gameplay should always be weighted over story when taking an award like this into an account.

Too true, it was effort to finally finish the actual game through all of the combat, and when I tried to play the DLC I just couldn't make myself. I hope I didn't miss too much by not playing it.

Even if it had been, considering how long it took them to release a linear game, how long would an open world one have taken?

I dunno about that, while some of the things you could DO in Saints Row were pretty funny, it just made too big a deal out of it. And the characters just weren't funny themselves anyway. I dunno, it's too much like being hit over the head with a comedy sledgehammer, you force it too much and it just becomes grating. I

That there will be an opinion son, story is a huge factor in whether I play a game or not. I've endured terrible gameplay for the sole reason of finding out what happens next. For example, I found ME2's combat largely unexciting, but hell I still played for all of the story elements.
