@Unfather: I agree with Kellen, they could have 'added' you before you joined, i.e. they sent you invitations, perhaps five years ago? It keeps the invitations in your name until you join up (or not, of course).

@Brandt: Now you're making me exceedingly jealous aha. Nah, over in the rest of the world we don't have Google Voice, and by the looks of our phone plan prices it won't be here any time soon. So Skype it is aha :).

I say poo a lot. Is it swearing? No. Does it give much of the same effect? Yes. Also, it amuses people usually.

@2 replies: Well, either they'd charge a lot more for Super Wi-Fi, and it wouldn't go widely implemented, or it WOULD go widely implemented. In which case, it would be in ISP's interests to offer cheap, super fast broadband for individual users.

@mazel: Thanks, that really does give a lot of context :).

Super Mario World is definitely my favourite side-scroller, though Super Mario Bros. 2 comes in a close second there. And as for 3D adventure, well, I'd say Galaxy 2. Absolutely gutted for Nintendo if that's all it sold though :/.

@MtlAngelus: Mmkay, I guess having never played a Duke Nukem game or cared much about the final product of DNF, the idea of it finally coming out doesn't excite me in itself. Basically, if this game had another name I would express no interest in this at all based on what I've seen of the game, that's what I mean.

I saw nothing but bog standard FPS there, NOTHING else. This is gonna fail.

@Damagination: Same, except I don't pirate at all any more. In all fairness, most of the reason that I was swayed in the end is because my router makes torrent speeds ungodly slow, so Steam is waaaaaaay faster (by a good few weeks XD), and Steam is certainly cheap.

@RiotControl: Interestingly, it seems to just be certain countries. I went on a German Exchange three years ago, and everyone over there used ICQ instead of MSN, which I thought was quite odd to say the least.

@DocSeuss: I cba to read what happened to this argument. But my guess is that it's just that the development processes and complex technologies in games don't allow a lot of experimentation and adding of ideas in one go.

@apierion: Agreed, I played Oblivion years back and I just couldn't get into the world. Not to mention you never felt like you were getting any more powerful, which sort of killed the whole idea of levelling up, maybe that's what did it for me, no sense of progression. Fallout 3 has a much stronger sense of

@samosir: Nice lmao, that was really funny.

@ManuOtaku: Er, yes, my favourite online game ever. And only about a month ago did a load of new people join because a Mac version came out. So really, I wouldn't worry about joining later than usual, it's a brilliant game :).

@robotomasher: I agree, no-one's really falling backwards, people just slide back a bit :S. Weird :S.

@JulyFish: I guess they must be basically. 6.5 million times 99 cents minus whatever Apple gets most definitely should come out in the millions. Imagine if you made a slightly above average flash game and it got that popular...

@Trolly: In fact, my bad, I already have it installed lol, I just didn't realise that thing was called SSH. It turns on whenever you connect to Wi-Fi I think, so I would advise turning off Wi-Fi and Location when you don't need them too.
