You’d think there’s some line where, when they crossed it, Republicans would say, “No, that’s too mean, that’s too cruel,” but that line doesn’t exist.

He’ll win by a landslide in the primary and again in the General.

The only tip anyone should take from this is you shouldn’t take work tips from the internet. This “article” could have been condensed to 3 words: “Know your audience”. It really is as simple as that.

That’s...that’s not what blackmail is.

But sharing naked videos of someone without their consent is objectively bad

Because we’d wait until he wins his primary, it’s in the best interest of the GOP for his opponent to make the general since they theoretically have fewer skeletons in the closet.

Also register to vote and vote in every. single. election. Including state and local.

I don’t want to hear about what Democrats are or aren’t doing anymore—if elected, no matter how bad, or not-progressive-enough, HRC would not have put ACB, Kavanaugh, or Gorsuch on the Court. That’s the bottom line.

Briahna Joy, an acquaintance of several Jezebel writers, argued that voting for HRC in order to protect SCOTUS was not a good reason to vote for her back in 2016 because it just wasn’t that important — which also explains why both Briahna Joy and Nina Turner, a favorite of Jezebel writers and the EIC, campaigned for

It has always been the case that the Supreme Court could overturn any precedent it likes. It is not bound by precedent the way lower courts are. Yes, a future, more progressive court could overturn this. But we’re probably 30 years away from a realistic shot at turning a 6-3 hard right court into even a moderately

This right here. Anyone who thinks what the supreme court is doing here will end at abortion rights, they are wrong, wrong, wrong. The United States is on a very dark path that will entail rolling back the civil rights we have enjoyed for just 2 short generations (and for some, even less than that).

Because I think the company behind Jezebel actually supports this.

That didn’t happen. Jezebel was full on pro-neoliberal feminism and so were its commenters. There was barely any pushback in the comments.

And it’s only going to get worse. The SCOTUS can either stick to their own alleged logic (and roll back civil rights entirely) or openly enshrine special pleading in legal practice (in which case no ethical or legal logic is binding, and can at most be a rationalization for whatever decision a judge decides to make

Completely agree.

And the thing is:  They got this with an uncooperative Roberts.  The decision is basically supposed to be 5-4.

Huh? Any rights codified by Congress can be taken away by Congress. Therefore, if Democrats had tried to push through a bill establishing abortion rights, it undermines the idea from Roe and Casey that abortion rights are inherent within the constitution, and basically would have given credence to conservative

next stop Gilead. update: there are already barricades placed around the Supreme Court building.

I blame Democrats. Multiple decades, and multiple majorities, went by without them codifying Abortion into law and making it near unassailable. Instead they chose to sit on a OPINION (which is always subject to change whether we like it or not) and use the threat of overturning it as a carrot for their base. It’s easy
