You were already ungrey... keep confirming your idiocy, champ.

“Do we have to stop wearing cotton because Black people once picked it as slaves?”
lmao, what? He was dragged by everyone for being a lying sack of shit... how does that make him look like a better person?
“Comedians have a responsibility to speak recklessly. Sometimes the funniest thing to say is mean. Remember, I’m not saying it to be mean: I’m saying it because it’s funny.”
“Using a double space is actually wrong though.”
“There is almost certainly a line that a critical mass of Americans (regardless of party affiliation,) feel cannot be crossed when it comes to “direct action”.”
Your constituents wouldn’t follow you into the bathroom if you didn’t immediately flee to the bathroom when you see them... for what that’s worth.
Totally understand the reason, I’m just pointing out that people in their early 30's were taught “2-spaces is correct” when they were young... so it seems like an odd like to draw ‘old’ at.
I convinced my landlord to let me pay through Zelle, and I’m confident that only worked because it’s integrated with Bank of America. I do not miss having to get a check from the bank every month, and didn’t want personal checks because they seem like a liability (and I would only need them for rent).
Almost without fail, this scenario happens with every ‘youth’ that works for me:
Also, Venmo kina sucks. Zelle works through my banking app, is entirely secure, and doesn’t place holds on my money.
I heard it for the first time maybe a week ago, from my 32 year old partner who also had never heard of it. She works with almost exclusively 30-somethings, and they make a shitload of presentations.
You’re still paying them in chore-form. Venmo takes the pain out of the process for everyone involved.
I only write checks for things I don’t want to pay, and only because I know it’s slightly more annoying than paying them in pennies. Why do you hate your coworker?
This. It wasn’t just a typewriter thing; I grew up with double-spaces being taught in my computer lab in the mid 90's. I’m guessing that, around the time Helvetica was cool and shitting on Times New Roman was gaining popularity... hipsters decided that single space was superior and have not relented since.
Using a single space is not wrong. Using a double space is not wrong.
It was a really fucking stupid question Kate, and you were clearly trying to buy yourself deniability while asking it. I would have told you to speak clearly or not at all too, and I don’t know how people talk AROUND things so much.
I had a manager once who told me that his measurement for good process and standards (an important part of my industry) was whether or not any single person could be suddenly killed (hit by a bus) and be replaced quickly with minimal downtime. It was morbid, but it’s something I’ve grown to believe.
I had a different takeaway from Ginsberg refusing to step down: The Justices are more interested in themselves, their ‘legacy’, and the power they hold than they are in the best interests of the nation. They are not good people, they are powerful people... and powerful people tend to cling to that power until death.
