The difference, of course, being that immigrants in the U.S. don’t generally ally with foreign nations in an attempt to drive Americans out of, say, Texas and declare it as an independent state for themselves while forcibly removing all Americans that are still living in Texas.

And there we go!  We finally go to the ‘not a real Jew’ part of the conversation.... this is going wonderfully, and I feel like you’re starting to turn hearts and minds.

Also, let’s stop pretending that Israel is a free and fair democracy in any meaningful way.  It’s an authoritarian apartheid state that does not provide equal rights and protections to all residents.

We give them money to buy stuff from us, so it’s more of a handout to the military contractors that provide arms and technology to Israel.

Aside from all the various surfaces that are being touched and not regularly sanitized, the copious alcohol consumption and the fact that the article itself shows strangers holding each other with mouths like 6" apart... yeah, should be ‘safe’.  lol

It’s a good thing we can tell, simply by looking at people, what their vaccination status is when in crowded public spaces... lol.

lmfao, I would actually watch awards shows if this is how it worked.

Wait, are you implying that big business has been getting special treatment throughout the pandemic?! Why, I never! /s

This is the health authorities’ decision as well, to say that it’s a completely safe environment if you do all those things.”

Oh look, it’s the seditionists who pretended to be sorry for a day before returning to the alt-right playbook because no one else is buying his bullshit.

This is unsurprising, because it’s been the case for a long long time now. That said, the other reality we have to confront is that despite having very little public support for overturning Roe, the GOP has nonetheless continued to chip away at those protections and seeks to overturn it.

Agreed, and unless we get audio and video of the entire incident (which sounds like it lasted for a while from initial arrival to the fight), it’s going to keep sitting in that grey area where anyone can make it what they want.

But, if they win and then ‘gift’ the money back to the doctor... wouldn’t they then be guilty in ‘aiding and abetting’ a future abortion?

The people who don’t understand what ‘bounty’ means in this context don’t give a shit anyway.  You’re looking for clarity on an issue that reasonable people already understand and unreasonable people will intentionally not.

He probably won’t hesitate to make arguments that really illustrate how ridiculous this law actually is that a truly anti abortion plaintiff might avoid.”

It really is, and because the law is so vague, seemingly EVERYONE IN THE NATION could file the exact same suit for the exact same incident. Hell, you could sue the people providing him with equipment, his staff, the school he got his medical degree... hell, you could probably sue the federal government for giving him

I’m actually kinda tickled that an Arkansas tax-evader was the first to take up the case, while thousands and thousands of Texas conservatives were sitting on their thumbs hoping no one would be dumb enough to take the bait.

Because our Supreme Court refused to intervene.  That’s it, that’s why.

The Supreme Court didn’t really sign-off on it, so much as say “we have no reason to review this at this time”, which was complete bullshit... and put the onus back on citizens to force them to act.

Expanding the court isn’t going to fix a broken system... and Democrats aren’t tactical enough to hold on to it for more than a single term anyway.
