I feel like Kanye is the Jennifer Coolidge in the relationship...

Yeah, poor OJ. (You ignore the fact that he played some part in his robbery conviction.)

OMG, Chris Brown supporters bring up Michael Fassbender with the same kneejerk regularity as racist teapartiers bring up Al Sharpton. It's incredibly (and entertainingly) predictable.

"Kim, I've selected this week's wardrobe for you. As you can see, it is heinous."

Because that is what he is. Who else would keep violating his probation with incidents related to the original conviction?

I would add that Chris Brown's problem is also one that has only recently been created: social media. It's easy to bring up the horrific abuses that men like Charlie Sheen (shot girlfriend 1990), Sean Connery's Playboy interview (1965, just search for "bitch"), or Sean Penn (arrested for domestic violence in the 80s)

So it is easier to forget he is an abusive asshole.

You are making excuses for him. He is getting bad press because he is doing bad things. When Mel Gibson was in the news for threatening his wife, and saying anti-Semitic things to cops, you bet your ass he was getting bad press too. (Or are you too young to remember that he was the butt of every joke for a good couple

totally reminds me of the stupid fans fawning over Djohar Tsarnayev around the time his Rolling Stone cover came out. Personally, I didn't mind the cover—it struck me as a poignant last goodbye to life on the outside. When people started calling him too cute for jail, in spite of his terrorist activities, I felt

There is literally nothing in this article about Rhianna. Nothing. Not a single sentence or word. This article is dealing with the fact that Chris Brown punched another person, on a separate date, and ended up in jail, thus causing a scene at the courthouse. That is the only thing this article discusses. Lindy West is

This guy gets more chances than anyone I know. Assault reduced to a misdemeanor? Wow. If someone had sexual assault probation (as in sex offender registry) for sexual battery, then kept committing certain sexual batteries, they could only be so lucky as Chris Brown.

I can't read this conversation because there are no hashtags in it.

Thank you for responding to her comments with a certain amount of grace. I am restraining myself from arguing with the ridiculous brick analogy because it will just lead to nowhere, but I am glad you said something.

My dad almost became a priest, then he met my mother. He left the church because when he wanted to marry her in his beloved church they told him absolutely not. Because she was divorced with three kids. He thought that was bullshit and now enjoys pointing out all of the Bible's contradictions to dinner guests.

But it would hurt a lot less if they didn't have it ;)

Or maybe it's just because religion sucks and is responsible for a ridiculous amount of oppression globally.

Tbh, I don't think she was glossing over the plight of black male slaves b/c the plight of black men is how people typically understand black plight period. Black women are usually left out of conversations, so I wasn't all that bothered by the exclusion of black men, which may seem... petty (perhaps dismissive), but

That is not where you derailed at. You derailed at the I cannot understand because Grammar.

I'm not a "majority rules" kind of lady, so you are barking up the wrong tree with that defense. I don't care if a VAST MAJORITY of the human population supported silencing Black thought because it was not delivered to them in a fashion they found more palatable. It's bullshit. It's bullshit to critique it that way.

You'e not gonna get it, no matter how many people break it down for you.
