Reposting this since sidthemisogynist dismissed it:

Pretty obvious the actual racists are all the people on this thread that assumed the black dude was "the Beast." Oops!

Your obsession with denigrating the United States on tangents and apologizing for the most misogynistic of nations around the world in Jezebel's comment section never fails to impress. Bravo.

A more serious question — can you be a supporter/advocate of the fashion industry and call yourself feminist?

If you're talking about the same era of which I am thinking, you're actually being a bit generous. There was a particular collective within the feminist community that was elitist, classist, racist, slut-shaming and transphobic that held the bullhorn for a very long time, and still chimes in every now and then to

Whoops. Posted these as a response instead of in the general thread list.

Those are apparently several misguided reasons.

And the US isn't rampant with racism because Obama is president, right? Your line of thought is irrational.

Beneath the surface and beyond the laws European governments have enacted for the sake of public relations, the continent is still horrendously anti-Semitic, as well as extremely Islamophobic on the whole.

To Chris Brown Stan #3 I've addressed here (I'm ignoring Flowbee, because he's a predictable joke): OJ Simpson was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping, the latter of which carried a potential life sentence. Claiming he was given 33 years for "theft" is either ignorant or dishonest.

Keep posting — you look dumber every time. Every Chris Brown piece brings stans out of the woodwork who make all sorts of dumb claims about Charlie Sheen or some other washed out white celeb that don't even hold up, or make comparisons to celebs like Michael Fassbender that aren't even relevant in the first place.

Man — you spend a lot of your spare time apologizing for Chris Brown being an asshole. His stans really are the most pathetic people.

I will say this — arguing with religious people about the historical role religious dogma has played in shaping society is a lot like arguing with a brick wall.

At this point, I'm 99% certain it's a troll with multiple accounts.

So are you a white pearl-clutching academic, or a white social justice crusader? Either way, maybe it's time to step off the soapbox.

Right — because gas-lighting people and forcing them to go through a sex scene they aren't comfortable with is no big deal?

I'm not surprised. French society is extremely misogynistic on the whole. In America, having sex with an intoxicated woman is a crime and an epidemic; in France, it's a romantic evening.

There is a difference between "Women should feel free to cover their heads or not, as they see fit" and "Women should cover their heads." Please stop apologizing for misogyny.

Google searches are weighted by location, but what someone searches for half-way across the world will still play a role, albeit diminished.

Except that the notion that women should cover their heads is of itself offensive. They should be free to do as they choose.
