My grandma’s dog used to love to lie in the back yard when it rained. She’d get into the mud, lie on her back with all 4 legs stiffly in the air and NOT MOVE.

...and we’re starting into kitten and puppy season too, so any shortages would seem likely to be temporary, which of course is both good news and bad.

Congrats to Anderson, and I know he has the resources to spare himself too much of the work, but I became a dad at 36 and within 2 weeks I had my worst back pain ever and was delirious from loss of sleep. The thought of becoming a parent at 52, at least for a normal like me, is unbearable.
