To all who are saying this is wrong: it seems you are ignorant to language evolution.

I ask because, as someone who DOES deal with creating game content, I would like to hear your thoughts on how someone developing a game can be responsible in avoiding creating something that creates some of the pitfalls you described. I'm not attacking you, but instead trying to see if you can provide some concrete

I would pose a simple question:

I'm just glad it's overhead still. If they had turned this into some sort of Ocarina of Time for handheld and pushed out of the traditional Zelda overhead perspective I would have been pretty sad.

So, a lot of people seem to be asking about this versus a media center, etc.

I currently do have a media center PC, but the problem has been that I have always struggled with keeping all the different components working. Amazon Video now is only accessible via web browser, which is hardly a seamless experience. Microsoft's software ends up all but abandoned, and I can't say any of the other

So buying $25 shoes counts? :P

Really hoping that this will have a good solution for streaming content on a NAS to it after a while. That would basically make it perfect for me.

It's like Phil Fish can't interact with media and other parts of the industry without oozing an incredible amount of negative emotion. I think it's pretty unprofessional.

Yes, absolutely. There are situations where it can pay off. Usually they involve a significant risk and/or a large sum of money to break into the market.

Well, the money you are paying is going towards owning that home, and when you finally do have it paid off it certainly is a huge help, true.

The details of the article specify that, even though it is something you own that holds value, the returns you get from it are certainly not going to be like other investments in terms of making money. It could, but it probably won't, because it basically keeps pace with inflation and doesn't gain value as much as

There are a handful of devices I own that connect to the internet that don't use Ethernet. The rest are all wired. From work to home, I enjoy the speed and stability that Ethernet provides, and I even will hook an ethernet cable into my laptop to transfer larger files to my wired devices.

Sounds dangerous to me. All it takes is one person stepping on a misplaced lego and the lawsuit for lego foot damage will end up closing down the park.

Nice, thanks for the clarification. It'll be interesting to see what they end up doing with all of this, it just seemed kind of lame to me to "skip" commercials to end up doing something else instead. Whether I'm watching commercials, listening to music, seeing sports highlights, etc etc, in the end it's still an

"A recently granted patent it seems would allow Apple to swap in different content, like music, during commercial breaks."

So, you pay a premium price just to get to listen to your own music during commercials?

Something that helps me is I identify the products I am interested based on features. I ignore reviews initially. If the features I want simply aren't in the high-reviewed items, then I know that I am not going to be buying what I specifically want.

I don't know... I think it's a brilliant idea!

Wow! This would look GREAT with that untrimmed, scraggly hobo beard I've been wanting to grow!
