I have loved a lot of the mini-games in the JRPGs I've played. They serve as a sort of diversion from the storyline, or even the tedious process of leveling up, and tend to be placed at the best moments in the games to allow you to blow off some steam. It's as though it's something designers in Japan have been aware

I agree that emulators add a lot of value to android devices. But it looks to me you have three titles there: Snesoid, ePSXe, and GTA VC.

Right now, there is a lot of discussion between Earthbound fans about how valid a purchase the Wii U is. The reason being, of course, the recent announcement that Earthbound will be coming out on the Wii U. What other games can we hope to play that will make the purchase worthwhile? Ultimately, for the price of a Wii

Spot on!

You can run it with wine. I just never really got into TextWrangler, but I suppose if you don't like Wine it's not a valid option.

I've always used something like Notepad ++ and changed the encoding according to what I want the results to be. Works pretty well.

Maybe among your family? Because I know plenty of folk from Argentina who would disagree with you.

People who don't really know what kind of hardware is out there likely see this whole DVR thing as a neat new feature. And for even less than that complicated streaming stuff that companies like Netflix offer!

My experience so far has led me to stay away from SLI/Crossfire. There are situations where I definitely think it is a valid thing to do, but if you're doing it to save money and you do a lot of gaming it probably is going to end up costing more than it is worth.

If you're really worried about pesticides, etc, peeling the thing isn't going to fix the issue (though this admittedly depends on the vegetable). If peeling is a way to get rid of the pesticides, save yourself the headache and just pick up some organic produce from a store that specializes in produce/organic produce.

Huge and ridiculous, just like the Dreamcast controller was. At least they're striving for accuracy there.

Room full of excited devs just finish showing off a demo of their game to George Lucas.

I personally don't mind an always-online requirement, but I can already imagine Durango becoming the SimCity/Diablo 3 of consoles.

Well, like I said, it hasn't really been a problem. I have considered picking up a Nexus device, though. Perhaps on the next one they release. I just haven't been in the market for a new phone yet.

I mean, I can see how a lot of people think the games are stupid... but man, it's kind of like you missed a huge party. It was a lot of fun, and there were attractive people and everything.

To me, price is an issue. When the iPhone launched, I wanted it. A lot. But when you look at how Verizon costs $30+ more a month for the same services US Cellular carries (as far as I can tell on their website), it means you're talking about losing nearly $400 a year just to have the carrier with the iPhone.

I've always loved the Mr. Saturn design. The character was made to embody innocence without being overly cute, and I think it hit the nail on the head. It's an iconic character design that has aged well and definitely deserves to continue to show up in cameo appearances (ie super smash bros).

I have been waiting for Google Voice to get the axe, and I don't get the feeling it'll stick around for much longer, now that Android seems to have benefited from it about as much as it is likely to. But maybe I'm wrong.

So, as a kid in the early 90s, 10 year old me anticipated Virtual Reality gaming equipment with excitement as I would see all kinds of great concepts and promises in TV and movies. To me, it always seemed to be right around the corner, but every time something was released it would fail horribly. It would cause issues

This is, indeed, a bit of a simple view of the issue. A lot of what you said has often been seen as contributing factors to the game's failure. With an estimated 140,000 units sold in the US, the game would actually have been considered a success, if it weren't for the fact that they poured as much money into it as
