Yeah, those are certainly valid reasons. I suppose they just don't matter to me much anymore. My crappy little LCD at home has a higher contrast ratio than most movie theaters these days, and it's only every now and then that I feel a film's audio REALLY took advantage of the full audio system you find at a theater.

It actually looked kind of clunky, haha. I was really surprised the guy was so blatantly unconcerned with everyone else in the theater. But, you know, that's part of the issue here. You never know who else will be at the movie you go to.

Sad to hear. CM7 has been working well for me so far (though the GPS has been admittedly spotty).

Yeah, I've been kicking around there for the last 10 minutes without much results, though the link bisby just gave me led me here: http://cm10log.appspot.com/?device=vibrantmtd

Awesome, that is a great resource.

Very cool, though it looks like the Samsung Vibrant isn't stable yet. I know, I know, that phone is old, but it's what I've got for now.

It is kind of funny when you think about how everyone treats movie theaters like the shrines of reverence to the almighty Film. You pay premium price to go into a room largely full of people you don't know to watch a movie in the dark.

Haha, this is an interesting perspective.

I've been increasingly impressed with Unity over the years. It felt easier to jump into than a lot of environments I've worked in, and it has some pretty impressive features.

I've been using the Crucial M4 128 GB, and I've been really happy with it. The speeds have been really stable and fast for me, and I've had no issues whatsoever.

Sue ISPs for giving people the internet in the first place!

Yeah, that's the thing. The ones I've seen I always look at them with a bit of a grimace. They usually have a handle made of some synthetic material that is simply stitched to a glorified plastic/fiber blend. I suppose I haven't shopped around much, but it seems it's time to start.

Just found out about this recently and I know I did NOT get any notification from TW about them starting to charge me for the modem. I had a cable modem laying around which wasn't working with their service (I think it's broken, as it is a DOCSIS 2.0 modem). I just picked up a new one and will get it installed

Yeah, I think I need to get a good set. Did you just grab some generic ones at the store?

The cost seems low, but then you need bags that can be easily washed to keep them clean, which also creates a certain level of waste. Washing the bags regularly to keep them from becoming unsanitary also causes them to be worn down faster, meaning that you have to buy them more often. New bags every year or two isn't

Me from 2001 ignorantly agrees with this.

This is part of Dave's point, as well. The fact that this device has such a low resolution is only to make it more competitive with similar products. In fact, I feel like it is too close to those other product, and is much more expensive.

I really, really have wanted to like Zenonia. I know plenty of people enjoy them, but they just don't do it for me.

I've done a similar project, but the situation was like this:

Now playing

I'm certain Disney has been working on a solution for just that. In fact, I have seen it in action :P
