Something about this feature left me a bit frustrated just watching it. I hope it is completely optional.

By getting rid of these gimmicky touch-screen features, that's how.

I thought that capacitive wasn't about heat transfer, but about capacitance, which has more to do with electrical charge... but hey, I could be wrong.

This looks pretty awesome. Can't wait to see this continue to develop.

So, as per a suggestion here at Lifehacker, I started using Alarm Clock Extreme. It's really, really changed the way I've done things lately.

"Yes, it does feel a little stop motiony? Is that a word?"

Some of us have jobs that require us to sit at desks all day. Some people just give in and let their health slip. That, and sitting for extended periods has been shown to be terrible for humans, so THAT is the main reason. I would LOVE the option to stand at my desk all day. Will I stop jogging or eating healthy

I'm not certain how I got into Bowie (I went pretty music crazy as a kid in highschool), but when this movie came out my friend bought the album for me because he knew I was a Bowie fan. I sat down and listened to the thing the whole way through and it felt like I was only there for five minutes. Seu Jorge's delivery

Now playing

Nice! I also enjoy this cover by Seu Jorge for the Life Aquatic soundtrack.

Thanks for posting this! I love Bowie, and this is by far my favorite song by him. A friend of mine and I used to sing it together while driving around in my crappy old car during high school. Belting this song out really helps blow off the general stress life can sometimes bring on.

I'd say it's about control for me. I guess I feel pretty secure in buying a DRM free MP3 off Amazon, because I back it up on my media center, which has redundant storage for the important stuff, and all of that gets backed up offsite. And as crazy as that sounds, I just use cheap consumer solutions to accomplish this.

Well, other than what you listed, here is what IS different about BUYING the disc from Amazon: Actually owning something.

There's a little more to the Wii situation that just a simple "it was the cheapest" argument. I admit that that is valid to consider, but ultimately it isn't the only thing the Wii had going for it. What kept the previous two generations of Nintendo hardware alive were the exclusive titles that people know Nintendo

I see what you are saying, but I can think of few games that have customize able player housing and aren't multiplayer:

Good point. Android devices certainly aren't as gaming friendly. But ultimately, Ouya will, by extension, make all current Android devices a little more game friendly as well. I see that as something that might hurt them in the long run, but help the overall Android gamer.

I don't know that that is necessarily true. But to find hardware for $99 that is better, it will take a lot of work on the user's part, and so it's basically not worth it. So yeah, you're right, and I don't disagree with that at all.

Definitely, and that's part of my point. Tablet hardware is simply not the best thing for a console. You can make a lot of great, powerful stuff with the price of most of the Android stuff out there. But that's only if you don't care about being able to carry around the device, such as with a tablet.

The Ouya will accomplish these things:

I agree with you completely. A lot of people mention double-dash and Wii, or even the original Mario Kart... All of them are good, but unless you've been around from the beginning and played them all without emotional attachment, it's hard to really say which is the best.

I love buying my music at Amazon. I set it up for my wife so she can still see all her music in iTunes, but buy it on Amazon (it's pretty easy to do, Amazon basically automates this process).
