It's not a Square Enix problem, per se. Toriyama leads an incredible team of devs, but he's largely despicable, incompetent, and downright goofy himself. As a result, this will be a good game with some annoying decisions (like this) and bad PR (like the Skyrim comment).

Someone plots to kill you, like seriously makes a plan, buys the gun, drives over to your place, etc. They get there and with the gun held against your temple go "nah" and walk away. Are you going to be friends with that person? Me either.

but pretty essential all the same. it tells you what attack corresponds to what button as well as letting you know about the ATB gauges for each form and your overclock meter and which form you are currently using. the overclock meter probably could have been smaller or something but it is supposed to be your special…

Because Cloud being a super-soldier then finding out that he isn't, he is just crazy and thinks he's his friend and his best friend seems to have forgotten who he was and who Zack was as well... And Sephiroth's mother being a giant alien who unleashes monsters to destroy the world... That was grounded right?

Amen to that. Fran was my lowest leveled character by a long shot, her design was so absurd I just couldn't even go there.

1. He never said it was as good or as innovative as Dark Souls. He said it was similar, you're allowed to have a game with similar mechanics, and it just sounds like he is talking about the feeling of "dread" when you have a lot to manage and be "smart" about. Also Dark Souls wasn't really that innovative.
