Does anyone actually like the look of modern HID headlights on a vintage car?

It’s really not though as CHP and local law enforcement only have a short grace period before you have to get your car registered locally, even if you own a property elsewhere.

From an Industrial Design standpoint, I’d say you’re objectively incorrect. The Soul carries a very well balanced and proportioned exterior design with some elegant surface detailing to boot.

Agree with the sentiment of this being against ‘what it’s made for’ but I’m glad at least ONE of these exists, I’d rather have one fewer daily driver bugs in the world so that humanity can be blessed by a factory fresh original Beetle that is hopefully preserved for generations to come.

From the side maybe, but look at that front end. The grill/headlights/bumper are a royal mess

$1200 does seem like a lot for a windshield though
