Love this car but still terrified about what maintenance would be like in 15 years when they’re dirt cheap.

Most manufacture prototypes are crushed, Porsche spared this one but took out the ECU to make the lawyers happy. I imagine the first right of refusal clause is in case they ever want it back in their museum down the line when the Carrera GT has more historical appeal.

Having parked my older Mercedes in Capitol Hill and First Hill for many years I can say without a doubt, get a garage! My cars are also worth less than a broken iPhone but still have that shiny three-pointed star that equals rich asshole to the average Seattle-ite and I’d still rather it not be bumped, scratched,

you mean they did well

Maybe if you consider Hilary Clinton ‘highly Liberal’ which of course, she is not.

If you think people are buying those cars for how they look and drive, you’d be mistaken.

I currently own two imported vehicles but nothing too exciting to report.

You’ve clearly never heard of ‘Porsche’ before if you think this is ridiculous.

Indeed, a very convincing exterior facelift to 2016 G-Class can be done for under $5k using OEM parts or even less if you source aftermarket..

Can confirm, in the rural northwest people have asked about my clean 95 E300, ‘is that a new Maarcaydes??’

I love it actually, like the original Honda Insight taken to the extreme.

how does a black taxi cab compare with a Mercedes SL?

Well it isn’t the first time..

Alpina’s wheels are quite handsome, especially the early versions fitted to the e28. However, they simply don’t compare with what their competition was up to in Affalterbach.

How do you make it through a day? There must be vomit everywhere, just as there are Camrys everywhere.

Although still not nearly as much as the water required for dairy milk...

...plus the lights, rear view mirrors, and a number of misc interior and exterior trim pieces.

Based on personal experience I’d guess the soft close doors on the W140 chassis S-Classes have about a 70% survival rate today.. not awful but not bulletproof either.

Tavarish on a streak of some really awful posts. Really missing your Art of the Flip stories.

The posts about used AMG S-classes for the price of a taco and the like are rather entertaining even if largly fantasy when you look into running costs. This however, is such a radically awful idea it almost seems ethically wrong to post it on the off chance someone could take you seriously.
