it’s ID or if you are “personally known” to the notary (at least, in Texas). So if you have $70 for a friend to become a notary, this is possible. I’m not saying this is feasible or even not ridiculous. But...Just leaving this info here, for anyone who may want it, for whatever reason.

I am a weirdo and enjoy doing stupid things like wearing lingerie around my apartment so I can pretend I’m a bohemian fluttering around my Parisian garret while I drink tea and light candles and read books, so, yes, I would wear this.

omg I think I know of which Rand scholarship you speak of. I remember feeling slightly bummed/like a failure that I just COULD NOT GET THROUGH THE FUCKING FOUNTAINHEAD and everyone else was saying what a good book it was (also, I DESPERATELY needed scholarships if I was to ever “escape” my family and hometown). A huge

You know...I was just thinking about this, and I feel like:

Are you flying after Wright Amendment ended? JW because before that I believe it was DAL to BUR and not LAX (at least, not in the times I was looking), and it was at least $100 more expensive.

I hate how “weather” counts a non-refundable thing. Did I pay you for a flight? Yes. Did that flight happen? No. Did I receive the good/service for which I paid? No? I should get a refund, if I choose not to take an exchange.

Oh dear god I’ve NEVER had a good experience with United. For some reason the majority of my SW flights have been delayed and I’ve never done premium seats on other flights and been fine (but also I’m a tiny person).

Yeah it seems like (from the comments) for some people Southwest is the only game in town, which makes sense. I’ve just had a hair-tearing experience with them every time I’ve flown, which is fine for the $70 Wanna Get Aways but pisses me off when it’s the same price as other airlines.

...now I’m worried for my somewhat common use of “mein gott,” because I am not a German speaker at all haha

Oh yeah I’m very aware of how common this phrase is (although I appreciate you giving an explanation for me and anyone else who might read). Perhaps in terms of familiarity it’s almost more akin to our “oh my god” - which, despite having god, has almost no religious modern day meaning beyond “ah!” “!!” “Wow”

I had boyf who loved Southwest and would use them even though the flights out from where we were were $100+ more expensive through them (no idea why). I would be like “but that’s so expensive compared to XX” “yeah, but I like Southwest.” “but it’s so much more!” “Yeah, but I always fly Southwest and I like them”

But it’s even MORE ridiculous because it’s literally you saying “God willing,” and someone reporting you because “God” sounds like “bomb.”

So question - who actually chooses to fly Southwest these days? Besides finding a good Wanna Get Away deal, their flights aren't that much cheaper than everyone else, I HATE the boarding system (I feel it takes longer because everyone is milling around, avoiding middle seats, doing weird baggage storage things), and

I feel like basically what the news in the past few months have taught me is that child molestors and rapists go far in life.

That’s great! There have been a number of Asian-American poets who have done the same:

Yeah, but I would argue that’s because wine doesn’t squarely belong to one culture the way Chinese food definitely does.
