You know, I'm hard pushed to think up anything more ridiculous than Hollywood Nazis.

The point is that services and goods that would normally have been provided with money changing hands are now being provided with no money changing hands. And by supporting this the government is losing tax revenue. So from a macro economic perspective why is this being supported? Is it the point that there is…
I’m all for this. Anything to get people through this time is to be applauded. I am however pretty surprised that the Greek government is supporting this to the point that they have granted such transactions a tax-exempt status. I can understand from a political view point but not from a purely economical one. Anyone…
Ha! Poor Quint looks like sushi time.
Ah now that is a good point. Are ghosts a result of purely human death? If it is the 'remnant' of a life force then there should be as you point out, all sorts of ghosts out there. If there are such things as insect ghosts then how many gazillion insect ghosts must there be? If it is only intelligent life then there…
Yup – that’s why I started thinking about how many houses there had been in history which is much harder to estimate. I think the principle that a death / ghost ‘contaminates’ one house is a valid one since much of the ‘lore’ (Poltergeist, Casper) outweighs a roving ghost theory (Slimer in Ghostbusters).
And that deserves a double thumbs up. Now where's my Shine on You Crazy Diamond Part 1?
A stunning piece of work, but that was elevator music if I've ever heard it.
I test drove one and the dealer said that they did that on purpose to make access to the back easier - but you're right the door is enormous.
The competition must have snuck up and stuck a Ferrari badge on it.
Ah that's a sad story. I used to run the UK office of a US (NY) based company. Loved the job. Unfortunately we got spanked by the meltdown in '09 and lost a ton of money with clients going bust. It was a private company and I had invested all my capital in the business. It all went kaput. Luckily I'd just sold my…
I think another thing that helps the handling is how low Jags are. I’m always amazed when sitting next to traffic.
Good points. I feel a calling. I'm sure future generations will thank me if I've mapped out the ghost menace (and all the cheap real estate ;)
Unbelievable.
Here you are again explaining things I already know as you've spelled them out already, including all the flaws in your argument. You responded to my post because of 'reboot = bullshit'. But if you actually read what I wrote I said 'reboot-bullshit'. i.e all the bullshit with rebooting a franchise so soon, which was…
Well let's see. I post a comment agreeing with the originator of the thread. You attack it with a whole list of nonsense ignoring the orginal statement I made that I didn't like the idea of a Spiderman reboot even though it might be an excellent movie. You don't respond to the originator of the thread, you respond to…
My current daily driver - Jag XJ40. I wanted a big, heavy, cheap bruiser with four comfortable seats as I do a lot of motorway miles. Got a ’94 with 96K on the clock for £800. After driving it for a bit I found a sport mode button which actually makes a huge difference in gear kick down of the auto box. With the ‘new’…
And James Bond is not Sci-Fi? In what universe is that logical?
Hmm. Your post got me thinking. While I agree with your sentiment;
