I agree – the biggest difference I see is that we accumulate knowledge over generations far faster than the requirement to change our genetic code according to external pressures. Using science we have doubled our average life spans across the species in a remarkably short time frame. I think soon the human species…

There are geo-political situations which have little to no chance of a short or even medium term political solution with respect to fair distribution of water - for example the Indus river basin. There isn't just one reason why there is such a dsipute over Kashmir.

This is good news. I do hope though that efforts continue strongly on desalination research and technology. I’d tend to put a lot more faith in finding a scientific solution than a political one.
