I actually died to this first heavy more then the first giant boss.  He’s not all that hard but I was determined to learn the parry system and knew he was going to be a great 1st training guy.

You nailed it! For me it was greatsword blade + electro coil handle. Swapped the blade later to the booster glaive.

I use the booster glaive with that electro club!  I’m not as far as you though so I’m sure it’ll swap up again soon.  I tried putting that big wrench on the electro club handle but the thing is just too short.

Question time. As a new player should I play the main story or the expansion? You made great cases for both, so maybe there’s not a straight forward answer.

When I read about the system a few days ago I was like “ugh, what a chore”.

I’m surprised we’re not seeing some really asshole emails crop up. I’ve seen the Baulders Gate one and even that was fairly tame.
Microsoft probably knows to not put that kind of stuff in emails though.

Nothing I want in October but they nailed it in September!

Huh. I’d love them to buy Nintendo. Nintendo is really shitty to its fans and won’t release any of their titles outside their platform, so it really can’t get any worse.  (I also don’t see that merger ever getting approved).

pst, you’re still my favorite author because you’re so open in the comments. I hope the trolls haven’t dampened that.

Thanks Nick. I read one review that compared it to Sekiro (deflection instead of dodging) and they loved it. Never complained about the dodge.

I read different things about this game and I wonder if it’s more like Sekiro then Blood Borne and some players are playing it wrong. (The game is at fault for poorly showing this if that is the case).

This is how I do it. I order, and the first thing I do is cancel. I save WAY MORE with gamepass then if I bought the games (which there are many I would be buying).

Sounds like Monster  Hunter’s mechanic to me.

Huh the first time I’ve seen a “non-ad” ad from lifehacker for a product I might buy someday.

This is just my dumb take, but I really don’t care about game preservation. I haven’t booted up a game thats older then 5 years old forever.

So, FOR ME, I’d take that trade off. But, I do (now) understand (and sympathize) why that doesn’t work for a lot of people. Thank you for the other viewpoint.

Take a gander. It’s good because you’ll learn to reconize how other NPC ships are all using these same parts but in different configurations. I’ve taken some screenshots of AI ships that had good layouts that I’ll use for inspiration.

Just be aware, the armor you find in this quest is one of the best in the game. I sold mine because it literally had 2-3x more stats then what I was already wearing, and I wanted a bit more challenge in my gun battles.

Thanks for this.  I can refund Lies of P on steam.  Someday Steam needs its own version of Gamepass

Hard to argue with this.  I remember the GPU shortage and having to fight scalpers.  This thief is even worse because he didnt even buy the product in the first place.  Screw scalpers

I was looking for films to take the kids to for Cinema day. This was the film I wanted to see but they kids wanted TMNT. Looks like I’ll have to make another trip to see this one.
