Depends if they’re requiring them to ID check people who claim they’re over 18 when making an account. If that’s not a requirement, the law is a joke and nobody is going tell the truth about their age.

It’s too bad the LLMs werent up front about sucking up the internet to teach it. It would have gone over so much better if websites had a fair opportunity to opt out (like they do for search engines). I hope going forward websites can find a way to stop unwanted AI learning from absorbing their content.

It’s nothing to do with ads. It has to do with API cost. Apps are happy paying for fair access but Reddit wants to charge astronomical amounts instead. They want to turn a huge profit off peoples apps OR force them to close and funnel everyone through their gateways.

I enjoy it for 2 reasons. It’s amazing to find real answers to questions. Just google “question reddit” and you’ll get human answers to whatever you’re struggling with (stuck on a game, real life issues, anything).

Sounds just like the Dark & Darker vs Nexon thing! Developer left and made a similar (generic) game with a competitor and original company is sore about it.

Tiktok has been caught a few times harvesting much more data then what the app tells the users its harvesting. It also asks for more permissions then it needs.

Still useless because chatgpt (and others) are constantly evolving and if your system starts throwing false-positives its basically useless.  I mean the things this detector is doing (looking for writing that isn’t life-life) is exactly what AI companies are working to improve.

Blizz NAILED this launch.  Early access had 0 issues and real launch got a rocky for like an hour or so towards the end of launch night.
