Good, we need more black startups, less diversity hires.

This is the correct strategy. Facebook and Twitter are both tying themselves in knots trying to police content, and they’re still failing and receiving criticism. A strong filtering system lets customers avoid toxic games while shielding Valve from charges of censorship and bias.
It’s the rule! If you want to change the rule, that’s great and I support it. But this is the rule, applied correctly. There’s nothing racist or sexist about it. Justine Henin, the whitest woman ever, had the same thing when she had a kid.
Next week Nancy and Sluggo eat Tide Pods.
I always feel so bad for families with acoustic kids. I personally blame vaccines to making children turn from electronic audio options.
I’m black and the way I see it is if you don’t want people to say the n-word, don’t put it in your rap lyric. Honestly it’s not a big deal and like... it’s a word who cares. People give words too much power nowadays. People say “Oh but the history behind the word” and imo that’s the past and this is the present, it’s…
Agreed that Futurama’s the best, but I think The Big Bang Theory gets a bad rap in that regard. For one thing, they do their research when it comes to science and math(and I don’t see how science nerdiness is less authentically nerdy than the pop culture nerdiness of something like Community).
Well as long as we’re talking about things we regret reading, I’ll go ahead and add your comment to the top of the list.
Ah Life in Aggro, with yet another comic that looks very pretty, but has a layout that makes it hard to read and a punchline that I never get.
Reporting someone who won’t use the character you think they should be using is a huge douchelord move. It almost sounds like Eric is taking the douchelord’s side here for some reason?
Life in Aggro has some pretty nice art but pretty terrible layout/design.
Every time I see it I get sick. It’s such a design mess. I look at it and just skip it completely.
It’s a feedback loop. They can call someone for mansplaining and if the man does ANYTHING other than politely accept the accusation, they are then further guilty of mansplaining. It’s a tactic to control the interaction. The example above is simply patronizing condescension and happens all the time to men/women by men…
What is jezebel for? Articles just like this.
I am a male engineer who works with plenty of other male engineers and a few female engineers. Lots of people do this, it’s not exclusively something men do to women. Actually I mostly get it from sales people, they have the sort of ego and drive that has them talking over people a lot. It’s not particularly sexist,…
That’s not the definition of mansplaining as explained to me by so many women I’ve discussed it with. What you define in the first paragraph is just run-of-the-mill condescending behavior. Frankly, I’ve seen as much of that from women in the workplace as from men. I was under the impression that “mansplaining” is when…
Dear Lifehacker,
The price of games really needs to be more fluid. I’d gladly pay $80-$100 for an epic adventure like Guild Wars 2, and I did exactly that. But I certainly wouldn’t have bought Minecraft for more than $15. Both games were priced reasonably for the market at the time.
I was hoping for Sacramento Seakings but Slowking is a more apt mascot for my city.
But the smash bros developers embraced that with the Omega version of every stage in Smash 4. I understand a literal level playing field for sake of consistency.
There’s no reason the different maps shouldn’t stay in unranked.
