I bought Black Ops for the pc when it came out (like every other COD game). A friend brought over a copy of Black Ops for the PS3 and I decided to give it a try. It looks incredibly horrid, framerates drop to BELOW 30 in some spots and of course the fast paced game play is just not there. I played about 5 matches…

Good to see AMD calling them out.. Pretty much every heads up test I have seen has had the 6990 winning a little over half of them. If you even factor overclocking in, the 6990 simply owns the 590. Try again nVidia!

DX 10/11 will be here no doubt for the PC. You cannot base everything off of a demo.

I believe he meant that demo. It was dx9 only. PC gamers can choose the resolution, and between 3 presets for graphics levels. The final game will allow PC gamers to use dx11 if their hardware supports it.

Things run 'great' on consoles because the hardware is the exact same. Its common knowledge. 5 year old hardware that does nothing but play a game SHOULD be able to play new games and they should look good. Its the job of the hardware? A pc is used for a myriad of tasks. Games being one of them.

1000watt PSU seems overkill to me.. Unless you are adding a 2nd 580 in there! With liquid cooling you should be able to get that cpu to 4+ ghz... 1600 mhz ram seems to be the common variant nowadays also...
