big picture mode is designed to be readable on a big tv from your couch and can be navigated using an Xbox 360 controller. A much more console like interface.

What probably happened is they have a blacklist of words used by many games and those words come up in the same way they might for any online game for chatfilters where people yell out "YOU STUPID GAY ASS" and stuff like that.

Sounds like they just used one of those default lists of "bad" terms and didn't think of it. Seems like a pretty quick fix.
