The landmarks wre submitted by millions of Ingress players and each was reviewed by Niantic before it got accepted. Why should this be dumb?

I never saw Ingress being preinstalled on an Android device. If it would, the number of downloads should be closer to one billion, which is the number of downloads the YouTube App has in the Play Store, which comes preinstalled.

Considering the current political situation, I think this would be more appropriate for London:

Pokemon Go is developed by Niantic, the same company that also develops Ingress. Over the last 3-4 years players have submitted a ton of landmarks to Ingress. I am assuming that they are just using the database they already have.

I guess Pokemon Go will use the same database for its landmarks as Ingress, they are both developed by the same developer. Having two different databases doesn’t make much sense.
