I was ready to completely hate Jungle Book and find it boring because of its photorealism. Like, I put the film on with a heavy bias against it.

I loved it. It wasn’t just the animation, of course, but I will agree the animals managed to express things on that film. And when the animals’ limitations hit you, the

There isn’t much of a difference between playing an Irish woman and playing a trans person. An actor should indeed, as Johansson says, be able to play anything they want as long as they have the skills for it. Sure, an actual trans person will be more aware what living as a transexual is like - the problems and

One could hardly consider 16 year olds children who must not be sexualized by anyone -particularly when they sexualize themselves.

I do agree somebody in his late 20s shouldn’t be dating a 16 year old, but the whole “they’re children don’t sexualize them” really goes out the window when we’re talking about people past

She was just carrying the perfect accessory to complete her killer look.

It’s not the same - and not only that. The court of public opinion is huge, and many times somebody who’s found not guilty still has to contend with the stigma of having been charged with a crime - particularly for those cases that get lots of media attention.

Keeping the identity of a suspect, even a charged suspect,

The Sinking City here.

So far, I’m quite liking it - mostly for the atmosphere - although the combat is... it’s bad. But I’m liking the graphics, atmosphere, and storyline so far.

I don’t really understand how people can be mad at lootboxes for preying on addictive behaviour but I don’t really hear a word about this.

If you want companies to move out of China, maybe start offering them bonuses to come to the US. Raising taxes isn’t going to do that.

I’m all for companies moving out of China, as far too many things are produced with slave labor there, but giving them incentives is the way, not making things more expensive for

Hi, Jean here.

Just came by to let you know there was a problem with our system and you won’t be getting a paycheck this month.

Or next month.

Or the month after.

Your grandchildren will eventually get them, tho. It just might take a while to sort through the mess.

I dunno, man. There are several comments around here saying how suicide is all about “making everyone suffer,” so that idea is rather common.

Please never take your own life. You have no idea the impact it will have on the people around you.

That options leads to a nonstandard game over where you end up losing your job due to the death of your employer. You also get no severance or unemployment payments as there’s nobody to pay for them anymore.

Uh... you’re aware Garfield designed only the gameplay (which some people actually praised) and not the monetization schemes, right? There’s an odd bunch of people who seem to believe Artifact’s problems were all Garfield when in truth the most hated part of it (having to pay, pay, pay) were all Valve.

Valve is simply

None of the Telltale games I own has been removed from my Steam or GOG libraries.

The cases where Telltale games got removed, as far as I know, are cases where the distributor didn’t have its own repository of game files, depending instead on Telltale’s servers that went offline.

People who already bought the game haven’t lost access to it. I can log into steam and download it as if nothing had happened. Sure, nobody can buy it anymore, but how many games released a decade ago can you still find boxed copies of? New ones?

Also, physical media degrades. Digital media doesn’t.

Amazon is a company that’s currently defying any employees who attempt to unionize.

So yeah, I say fuck them. It’s either employees get laid off or they get exploited in those situations. Not that other studios don’t do this, but it’s not like I support the practice in other cases - and Amazon entering the market will

All I understood from this article is that there are people out there who think sequels to books that have been adapted to film must be based on the film adaptation instead of the original novel, else you’re “going out of the way” to let people know your vision of the novel you wrote is what you consider canon and,

Am I a horrible person for being kinda happy about this?

I mean, I hate that people are getting laid off, but I love it that Amazon isn’t doing great in the video games spectrum. The last thing I feel we need is that monopolistic giant extending its tentacles into yet another industry. It’s the same when I hear

Curiously, I played through FFVII several times as a kid/teenager and never went through that scene - since it requires a few specific actions I never did.

It was only a couple years back, as an adult (and following a walkthrough for some achievements) that I ran into it. You can guess my reaction there.

Looking forward to seeing the burly spa men in high-definition graphics, I see...
