start! start! start! :-)

how often were you at sea? like, as a cruise ends, did you get three days off as the ship was reprovisioned, or did you keep working, etc. and isn't there a cruise "season," what did you do in the off time?

holy crap. as a parent, even used to the crap that comes out of my kid's mouths, that LotW by david takes the cake. :-)

Any updates now that the whole album has dropped? One thing his passing has reminded me of is how DIFFERENT all of his different eras of music are. If all of blackstar is like this, I'll probably pass, but if it's a collection of different musical types, I may take a chance...

It’s crazy to think that this is the cartoon that has stood the test of time, but it’s been on, more or less continuously, for pushing 50 (!) years. no one watched the flinstones anymore, jabberjaw- if it wasn’t for the laffolympics DVDs I’ve scooped up here and there for long road trips, my kids would know who NONE

Looking forward to your review of Paw patrol- my kids LOVE it, but me and the misses talk shit about it CONSTANTLY. I -HATE- that goddamn mayor. and her chicken.

I miss her. and not just for the 90's era thigh gap she could rock, or the red hair, or the.. okay, lets skip over how hot she was for sake of time? I just miss the whole “I believe / Fuck you, SCIENCE!” of the two main characters in the one-offs lie this BS. made them rise SO FAR above the material. :-)

get your ya-ya’s out: an underrated stones record, and SUCH a too-deep reference by any new audience. (they -might- be able to infer "get your ya'ya's out." and what it means in context. but to SEE the dude and the drums and the donkey? NOPE!)

this line is sooooo 90's. :-/

one big point you missed: backwards compatiability. both Disney and skylanders save on theup front costs by saying “you can import dudes from previous games.” it doesn’t SEEM like a lot, but when the competiotion is so tight, and all three games are SOOO good, you end up going with what you have the most of (which, I

as owner of all 3, concur. nothing is quite like firing up “skylanders: superchargers” and saying, “holy shit, chaos WON?” it’s a dumb story. a story for kids. but, FUCK ME, it’s a story. and it makes me want to WIN. :-)

PS: "one way ticket:" eesh, she was like, what, 18 when she filmed that? and, yes, the you tube freez-fram makes her look at LEAST 20 years and 50 lbs heavier. eesh.

A) You posted, like, my all time women-artist favorite songs! “heads Carolina” might be my FAVORITE song of all time

don’t tell anyone, but I actually tend to read more women authors than men, too. ;-)

why? I have a common name- I assure you, my real name isn’t “time” - and an editor will automatically assume I’m white and therefore want to publish my stories if I send them in?

it’s not the sales, which, while possibly “minuscule” (your word) still exists, it’s the principle.

and you nailed why I hate this idea. you have found an author that speaks to you, and you wouldn’t be able to read him this year if you were participating in this... what is this, a challenge, a dare/ whatever.

I’m still agreeing with you LOT here, actually (and you have even touched upon the whitewashing of covers, aka, the portrayal of white people on books when the main characters are actually PoCs! it’s BS!) there is, 100%, a problem, across the board, in the publishing system. I just don’t think that boycotting authors

well, in this specific example, yes, she bought it and might get to it. BUT, my point is, how many other books did she walk by that she would enjoy just as much based on skin color of the author? more importantly, how many books might she have enjoyed MORE, sat there and read in a night, then called her mom, her

because I'm white? See, this is what I'm annoyed about! ;-)
